look right into the centre of the leaves..where it joins the stem...and you will see a Water Pool...........
she is saving the available rain..in a "cup" at the bottom of the leaf..which trickles away down the leaf stem..then her mainstem..and eventually down to her roots..
making sure she gets the most of any available water/moisture
This is a trait you often see in Tropical plants..where there is either very arid temps..or not much natural rain-fall...
it has come out strongly in the Deep Chunk crosses..
