Outdoor Outdoor UK, first time - journal & ref

Some lovely autumn colours going on and the one with the yellowing leaves smells very much like Ginger (not something I ever suspected from weed!)

eP.I just spotted this! Do you know, Ginger was the over-riding smell I got from the majority of my UK outdoor grows. How wierd is that ?

thanks ePenguin - I'm glad you said that, gut instinct is telling me she needs to go. The ginger aroma I got was earlier in flowering, its changed during in ripening to a more classic fresh weed flower stink now... she smells great, like a woman wearing my favourite perfume!

Here are todays photos -day 129. It look pretty ripe to me but am not sure if I should leave it out for much longer as I'm concerned the weather will start to have a negative impact on them soon.

Any experience or further advice from anyone? I reckon its a case of just rolling the dice from here on if I leave her in!

Awesome bro, if your gut is saying take her then do it buddy, I always try to follow my instincts with it. She looks ready to me bro and the biggest risk IMO is leaving her out if the bad weather could knock her over or damage her somehow. The rain isn't the problem it's more the wind I would say. What do the trichs look like?

Beautifull pics man i wish id stuck a few seeds outside early in May the weather has been really nice during the summer here in Scotland and you've just inspired me. Probly gonna do a gorilla grow outside in a few random out of the way places that people don't or wont go near. Gonna also try some unorthodox places that are in full view but might be able to go unoticed for a couple of months due to the fact anyone looking at them would be pretty far away and unable to tell what they are from a distance. It's also a very steep hill so not the kinda place anyone would be walking around. If i were to go there at night wearing dark clothing nobody would even see me there. Im gonna use google earth just now to try and find some places of interest.:bong:

Just read your thread from start to finish , good reading and a great result . My 2c is chop them girls and hang them to dry nice and slow with a long cure and a big smile on your face every time you open your jars . Are you sure this is your first grow Somerset as you could have fooled me .

How cool is that to inspire someone to grow their own meds. Top job Somerset!

Hey Somerset,
I just heard news about hurricane 'Gonzalo' remains coming onto the UK in the next days. If your plants are still out, this might be the time to harvest them.

Good luck to all uk outdoor growers
:peace:

Hi Somerset, I don't see many white pistols at this point in the pictures so I would say you are about there. You can always harvest the main colas which are going to be most at risk for mold and leave the smaller ones to grow a little longer if your weather cooperates

Second wild super was harvested on Tuesday last week and has been hanging in the attic ever since. De-stemmed and mostly dry, the nugs from plant all weighs 131grams... #heapsofbud. Let the curing commence.

Super 3 is still out as she's got virtually no resin on her at all and could do with a few more weeks. She gets mouldier every day and I'm off to France today for a week so I think I'll leave her in and see just how bad things are when I get back. To be honest, I don't need ANY more bud, so I really don't mind...!
