New Grower Hope She's Gentle. It's My First Time! - Think Different

When you say 3 part watering, do you mean I should water her 3 times per week, once feed, once with molasses, and once with straight PH'd water? I will grab some molasses this week

Yes, and it was just a suggestion for how to break up the things you're giving her, I did mine food, micro, water to give the plants time to take up the macro nutrients, then give them more time to take up the micro nutrients, and then just plain water because water. It may actually not end up being 3 a week, it may be more like a 9 day schedule depending on how often you're finding you have to water. I agree with Happy, this is a learning grow, do your best from here out, and try not to chase your tail hunting gremlins. To use an analogy, you ran a bath, and walked outside to get your mail while the tub filled, once you get outside you notice all the paint on the house has fallen off, so you go get your paints and start repainting the house but meanwhile you're flooding your basement. Not sure how convoluted that was, but what I mean is it's more important to try to establish and follow a protocol rather than putting all your efforts into figuring out why 1 or 2 leaves look funny.

I forgot that you used mg perlite. You know, I used that same stuff on my first grow and had issues as well. This grow I didn't add any extra perlite to the FFOF and, well, no weird things are happening. It might be that mg crap with the time released ferts .

I got you, Medi. I'm still working on getting a good feed/water routine, and I'm still Learning, but I'm still in the game. I realize that this grow isn't gonna be on of those "holy shit!" first time grows that I was hoping to pull off, but I'm cool with that now. I've pin pointed a few of my mistakes, and I've learned a lot from this grow, and it's not even done yet, so it wasn't all for nothing. Still gonna work towards making the outcome the best it can be, considering what she's been through. All the work I've put into her ass, best believe I'll be sparking her ass up and enjoying the fruits of my labor!

Yeah man, screwed up n grabbed a bag of the mg and didn't notice until it was too late. Won't be an issue the next time around, though. I'll make dawned sure of that!

Yeah, I made the same mistake lol. Also, people will tell you that FFOF doesn't have perlite. That's a false statement. My FFOF has perlite in it already. If you look at it, you will see the white perlite pellets. Now, if it's enough to suit your liking, that's a different story. Like I said, this time I didn't add any extra to my soil, and I'm not seeing any issues with drainage or watering either.

I'll most likely use perlite again, but what I'm gonna do is soak the perlite for about a week, changing the water every day, then rinse the shit out of it. I have some cheesecloth bags I can pour it in to get it done. Another member, I forgot who, told me they made the same mistake, rinsed the perlite real good, and no longer had any issues. I just like that extra drainage. Gives me more peace of mind. LOL

That would be me ^ ^ ^....:)

Just rinse it thoroughly for 5 or 10 minutes in a large fine strainer while agitating it and mixing it around with your hand...it will all come off. No need to do more than that.
Or huck it in the bin and get a bag of Espoma for like $5...:)

Hey bro dont worry about it. My TD was yellow as f from day 50 to 90 and looked way worse.. it did hurt my yield but still got like 70gs off her... sure some dudes pull 5 oz off of em but who cares.. and yours still looks good bro. You'll probably pull more than me in the end.

In the future grows get some blunt fill tip syringes so your measurements are exact. Using teaspoons and tablespoons suck bro.

Something like this will work well, you just suck it up slowly until it hits your line and then remove the end from the liquid and you're good. Also I agree with Trap, I'd toss it and get 8 quarts of Epsoma for 10 bucks. Oh, and for what it's worth, I think you'll be very happy with your final yield provided nothing cataclysmic happens.

Yup, I used Pipettes through my entire first grow....my Hydro shop gives em out for free w/ purchase. I just fill the measuring spoons with pipettes I load up from the bottle.

And yeah, my bad $10 on Amazon for the 8qt. Espoma....

I've considered chucking it, but part of me screams, "you paid for it, and now you're gonna trash the whole bag??!!" LOL! That's the thrifty side of my moms coming out in me! She'd be so proud. LOL!

Jayar, what it do, bro-ham?! Yeah, my man, she ain't winning any beauty pagents anymore, but I still love my ugly duckling! LOL! I'm gonna rock it out to the bitter end, and enjoy smokin' her, too! Glad you just got done with the TD so you are able to give me a good heads up about what to expect, n all that. I'm gonna give it another go, soon as I chop this one. I don't give up easily. Got me a few of those plastic syringes that Medi has links to. From the get go, I wanted to be precise, and, you're right, teaspoons and tablespoons suck when it comes to precision.

I got exactly those syringes, bro. Nice n cheap, but right on the money! Man, if I get a qtr ounce off her, I'd be happy! Not because I'm expecting less, but because it came from my hands putting in all the work. Shit, if I could blaze with all you guys who have helped me, I would, because I feel like whatever I get from her, it was a team effort that produced it. Sounds corny, but that's real talk.
