Greetings all!!
This is my very first grow journal. I've been growing indoor in soil for about 4 years now and want to expand my grow knowledge a bit. I came across this forum and was blown away by what people are doing with autoflower plants at the moment and decided to hop on the bandwagon Woops
Enough of the lovey dovey stuff, lets get technical!
The primary light that I will be using is a Aequator 150w Photosynthesis lamp.

In addition will be 4 x 18w T5 fluorescents vertically in each corner and I will hang 4 x 23w CFL's.
Let me save you the quick math, that's a total 314w consumption! Anyone who has combined both types of lights, please chime in on your thoughts of what temperature fluorescent bulbs to use. I'm planning on using 6500K during vegetation and 2700K during flower, no mix and match.
I had a hard time finding a decent bucket and didn't want to buy one online, so I settled with what I found at my local corner shop. Its a 12L (3gal) food-grade grey bucket with a snug lid that has a perfect size hole in the middle for my 8cm net pot.
It was evident to me that the bucket must be light-proof, so I decided to wrap it in some extra diamond foil I had lying around in the basement. All the small nooks and crannies were sealed off with alu-tape. Here's a small pic collection of the process:
As you can see, I am trying to keep this as low budget as possible (the LED I acquired for free "pher Wiggle" ), but everything else is just some recycled equipment/furniture I have lying around.
As for the growing space, I brought this beauty upstairs and put her in place. I'm sure you can guess where the plant will be! The shelves are perfect for storing all my nutes, air pump, etc.
Tomorrow I'm going to give it a nice clean and start making it reflect
The beauty of the whole operation will be 1 single Pandora from Paradise Seeds. I spent a few hours talking to the owner of a local grow shop, which specializes in making their own DWC/hydroponic systems. I told him I wanted to try Think Different from DP but he recommended me this instead. As he was curious of my project, he told me he would be more than happy to germinate the seedling for me with his special method at a price I couldn't refuse, FREE! It's going to be ready to pick up on the 31st, so until then I have enough time to get the cabinet running.
A few more things I'll be using:
Wish me luck guys!
