Lighting Problem using my ms0006 light versus cfl and hps.

Hiya all.

I have 2 D99 in 5 literscoco/perlite hempy buckets under my 400w hps.

I got 1 auto diesel mix in 2liters cola bottle also coco/perlite hempy bucket.

And i got 1 D99 in a 5liter coco/perlite hempy bucket under my ms0006.

I am using green house powder feeding @ 60% right now, ( thats about as high as i go with this nutes)

My plants under hps is perfect looking, a little on the bright green side.
Same for the plant under 250w cfl light.

But my plants under led is DARK green and tips of leaf are pointing down and just not looking happy. And this is not the first time my plant under led is behaving diff. then my plants under hps.


Does the plants under led need diff nutes strenght? Or why is my plants under my LED light behaving diff then my other plants?

Hi Justin, when using LEDs there is less plant perspiration in comparison to HPS - a topic that keeps popping up recently. If the leaves are dark green that could be a sign of over feeding of Nitrogen. I'd suggest pulling back on the nutes (I have no exp with green house powder feeding) but start it at 1/4 strength and slowly build up through the weeks if the plant looks like it could take it. Other than this I'm not sure what the problem could be - I hope it helps

Lets see pics of everything mate. Iv never heard of any led turning a plant dark green,it could be a deficiency. What are your temps in the cab?Did you read the Grownorthern manual mate to get the correct heights for the ms006. There are no special nutes for LEDs bro,cal/mag can be an issue for some people but a dark green plant doesn't sound like cal/mag..

Thanks, but i always start really low with my nutes. And i started 9 plants under my led and all looked to dark green, then i moved a few of them to hps tent and cfl tent ( same nutes strenght) and within 2 days my plants looked better. My question is, does a plant under led drink and eat different then under other lights?

Yeah, i got height under full control thanks to TanGs manual.

I really dont wanna post any pictures mate...sorry

25.4 c right now in my led tent... 45%rh 5 weeks into the grow

And the plant is not DARK DARK green...just a lot darker the plants under hps....yes outside under normal light as well lol

Pictures will definitely help brother. I've never used a HPS bulb but I'm guessing there will be a difference in how the plant drinks under different lighting. I'll let a more experienced forum member take over at this point- thats me out of ideas! Have a toke to cheer you up :smokebuds:

Its hard to help you without pics mate. Your temps & humidity seem ok..Some plants will naturally be darker than others,but it can also be a sign of a deficiency mate..iv seen LEDs bleach the buds/leaves but never turning plants darker green. Feeding under any lighting system requires the grower to be able to read what the plant wants bro,there's no blueprint for feeding as different strains like different feeds. Start low and build up is what we suggest for any feeding regime. :smokebuds:

Justin.... Plants grow under LED do react differently than those under CFL or HPS , because LEDs promote better chlorophyll production.... When is switched from HPS to LED i indeed noticed a stark change in there growing patterns....LED plants did seem to grow a little slower to start with and where much dark green than i was use too, but boy did they make up for it later.... I wouldnt worry about it bro it all sounds quite normal to me.....
