Hey there,

after long thinking and sketching I finaly started to build my 2nd stealth box. I was kinda disappointded by my diy filter in my current box. After installing it, temps raised to 29/30°C wich feels quite high, even its in a possible range.

So now that I have 3 x 30W LED modules, I will install all 3 of them but will go most of the time with only 2 switched on. the 3rd is for backup and 2-3 weeks before harvest to give the new seedlings some sun on their "little balcony"

But now lets have a look.

this were my drawings, considering a sli fan and a coalfilter out of the box system... ( I pretty much dropped it, because of the noise/stealthness)

So what I am now showing/building is a mixture of V2.2 and V3, meaning I will soak air inside verticaly like I do in V3, but will use 4x92mm pc, fans. (4x93m3/h)
Beside this Change, I will build the air intake from a secret chamber below the box, wich is fedd with fresh air from a 120mm from the front and 2x80mm from the back. (painted black, so no light will shine out anymore)

ok long talk, lets see the first pictures:

new coal filter, build out of 4x92mm fans, pulling air through a 3cm thick "coal-chamber" (hope this will work, but my research was kinda positiv)

building a fake front::check:

results of day2:
-fake drawer installed
-air system 50%
-construction 60%

to do:
-mount 4 side pieces
-attach magnets
-attach doors onto magnets
-mount everything in (fans, fancontrol, heating mat, lights etc...)

So what do you think? Its a quite badass project, huh?!:face:

I was pretty much overwelmed by the amount of work. I thought I could make it within a day, maximum 2 if I wanted to paint it white inseide... Now it will more or less take 3-5 days working in total...

hopefully I will finish basic stuff tomorow, so I can take the box to my place and start painting and installing all of the technic stuff...

Cheers, lb

ps: the "spoiler" u can see is for the young seedlings, to join the party 2 to 3 weeks before harvesting the bigger ladies...:smokeit:

pps: the holes in the baseplate, are come from the "air-chamber" below and will put fresh air into the box. (hopefuly):wiz:

ppps: I love to ps' a lot after writing a thread :D:D:D

Max:slap: for the effort so far Mate, all is coming together very nicely. Can't wait to see finished product!

Nice DIY Skills! :)

I've made a mini grow cab in the past, and I'm sure you will have thought of this already, but before you get those pc fans nailed (or more likely "professionally fixed") into your cab, i'd test them. Mine made one hell of a rattle/buzz until i surrounded the outsides (that touch the wood) in Bluetac! Silicone sealer would probably be better, but i'm terrible at DIY :)

Abo on!

Would be intresting to know how many hours of work u put in ur projekt when its done

haha thanks for the tip, but the fan-unit will be removeable.
I will build a snap-in frame, to be able to refill the coal filter from time to time...
(your silicon is my "montagekleber" I nearly used 2 packages of this till now^^)

thanks , by now I had about 15h pure work in the cellar, not counting the hours of smoking and thinking about the sketches or the hours drawing sketches^^

Top quality work bro! Top quality! I am with Vaped on this one, :slap: max rep for posting everything online for future people to build off of.

Well it won't let me hit you again. I owe you one.

DIY at its finest bro!

i need to spread the love -- but you sir has got the skills

any idea on when you will be building a grow box?! (i can already see the expansion now) :D

today was kinda downer followed by a booster

I rrealized, my fan-control would need a molex cable like you use em inside your pc.
They provide 12V AND 5V, so I searched for a ballast who could do this with literaly no results...

BUT then I realized, I could build a ballast on my own, and so I did!
merging a 12V ballast and a 5V one, to a 28W Computerballast!!!

and here we go!

ballast working!!!
View attachment 229374

and after building in everything, I tested the whole stuff.
ONLY 12-15W in total!
plus 60W of LED makes something like 75W in total.

And boooiii there is a shitload of air pumping outa this box!!!
Sorry for the shittalk, but I#m kinda euphorized.

So I'm back to work, getting those doors ready for finishline!

Cheers, lb
