Indoor Growing Scrog

Would be good to grow a few out before trying something advanced like a 420 scrog, but we’re here to help when you’re ready.
I just spent a lot of time helping someone with a scrog that lives in a different country until I found out it was his first grow. He’s in the middle of a multiple plant 420 scrog on a 4x8’ tray and didn’t have a clue where to start and driving me crazy. I was a bit suspicious in the beginning from all his newbie questions but I didn’t find out until I blatantly asked him if he’s ever grown weed before. I felt bad but had to end that real quick!!! :nono:

Thanks Tristan!
They got a good start because I had everything dialed in from the beginning. Environment, PPFD and fertigation was on point from day one and I’ve been giving them all they would need and more.
No reason for slow growth! 😉

I’ve come to the conclusion genetics determines the overall height of your plants. Lighting might be a slight factor but genetics plays a bigger roll.

Tis the season Brother!
I’m planning on running 15 out of the 19 I have and half of them will be grown outdoors in my 420autoflower rolling scrog carts. :rolleyes1:
Going to be a busy summer!!!

Nice Deano! 👍🏼
It’s about time buddy! :d5:

Happy to know people are coming over.
We always need more members here!
Nice to see other experienced growers do their own thing with the 420 method. As long as you run hydroponics and apply the basic 420 principles you’ll get good results.

You see… it wasn’t that bad! Lol! 🤣
Its definitely hard to take a pair of pliers to a plant you’ve been babying for over a month but it gets easier after you’ve done a few. 🤪

Clean and tidy!!!

Thanks @Mongoose!
There’s actually many people around the world that are having success with the 420 method. They’ve been seeing my grows on other platforms and sneaking over here to get info and hitting me up with questions. Taking up a lot of my time but rewarding when I see their results.

Your girl is filling in well! Lots of potential there!

Beautiful! :eyebrows:
Sweet looking canopies my friend! :headbang:

I pay a total of $5.75+tax for my Grodan 4x4” and 6x6” Hugo stack.

Nice scrog @KingRatt!
You did a great job flattening them out.
I like your metal grid.

Lol!!! I think 18/6 would be fine but I would be on the safe side and run 24 hours of light after you scrog (during stretch) to make sure your canopy fills in well.

It’s genetics!!! 😉
Same cultivar, equipment, nutrients and environment and they both still turned out completely different.
I’m seeing the same thing in my tent.

No worries man! 👍
Feel free to post as you wish. Always good to get solid info and feedback.
Appreciate you laying out some of the basics. :thanks:
Heres that grid! They have it in 2ft and 4ft rolls in increments of 25ft and its 2”x2” sq 16ga welded. Its super cheap and reusable and holds down plants alot better without wrenching on the frames, plus the smaller squares guve you more options with less hassle. https://www.amazon.com/GILPWA-Fence...ded+mesh+pet+fence,aps,300&sr=8-10&th=1&psc=1

Hydroponics for the win. Most commercial vegetable growers do it: rock wool starter in a 4" x 4" rock wool cube.
Make a simple and inexpensive recirculating system
Your in the right place. @420autoflower and others here are a wealth of knowledge.

After growing in soil, coco, fabric, air-pots and DWC, I put together a simple recirculating drip system on baskets of hydroton. (rockwool starter)

So glad I did! Cleaner, less bugs, fast growth and tune able.

I think you'll be glad too!

Thanks Buddy!
Might have to get me a roll. 😉

Thank you brother! 🙏
Glad it’s working out for you.
IMHO… top fed drip with high frequency fertigation is the best way to grow autos.

My latest theory, ( I have a new one every day 🙂 ), and after digging around about how you might be able to do these relatively high ECs 420 ... might be because you start very young, when the plants are most adaptable. Dunno, but every time I've tried ECs similar ( but always later in the growth cycle ) I've been 'burned', so to speak. Next grow, I'm following your lead on this.

Could be genetics, also so many un accountable factors, elevated co2 levels can make plants use more light and nutrients, also increasing hardiness. There is so much to consider, without controlled environments and only theorizing leaves alot just up in the air. Even different mediums can behave wildly different.

Yep, all good points King, thank you. :thanks:
Gotta' hand it to 420, that he's so willing to take his time and energy ( and sometimes patience ) to share what's he's learned.
Hope he knows, or can guess, how much it's appreciated by a whole lotta folks.
