when i run into a gnat war, i lay a 1/4" layer on top of my soil, but OfCourse the plants gotta eat and drink, so I do it a bunch. But I have not had a gnat issue for over 2 years now.
Those little buggers drove me back to coco. Haven't seen one since. :pighug:

I had to stop using Coast of Maine soil, cause it was just always an infestation. My local garden shop were I get my soil also sells me my happy Frog and it litterly never has gnats. Yet both bags of soil sit like 2 skids away from eachother. But I always inspect the bags I take, no holes or messed up bags for me.

Those the ones I am talking about. Yes, the silica in them is more available, but bloody hell, it should be at the price. So far, I have never noticed any need either in stem strength or potency. My stems have yet to fall over, and the bud kicks my ass as needed, so why bother?

Mind you, Cocoforcannabis says silica is one of the additives that actually helps, and they know a lot more than I do about it. :pighug:
I definitely get some buds that fall over or need support. But it's not worth the price for me indoors. Photos or outdoors might be a different story

silica is an essential element to all living thingz, period :greencheck: i fell down that rabbit hole of knowledge when i was researching DE about 10 yrz ago....to this day, my animalz still get sum DE in their food every nite....a main reazon why Gracie'z coat stayz so shiny :cools: ppp

I heard some Italian scientists did a sonar check on the Pyramids and believe that they are the top of larger structures that lay beneath :pop:

Wouldn't surprise me. They have found huge Mayan cities, and Ankor Watt turns out to be an enormous 3,000 square kilometer city. LIDAR is pretty amazing.

I use DE as a gnats barrier, but do ya really think it can break down to the acid form fast enough for an autoflower or any seasonal plant? I have no clue, just a thought.
It's been sitting at the bottom of an ancient sea bed without deteriorating....
