I have decided to have a try at breeding my own meds to suit my needs, as opposed to growing strain after strain looking for that magic elixir. I have had the good fortune to grow some really fine strains from my good friend @LaughingHyenaSeeds and he has kindly offered me up some auto reg seeds from a sativa dominant project he is working on. I want to work with the sativa side of things as I need meds that won't put me down on the couch all day. I have access to good indicas to get a good nights sleep but they are not what I need for the all day pains. Most importantly........he is going to be my mentor in this project, although I also appreciate any input from my fellow growers.

My first step is to make more seeds from the originals that were gifted to me. I have started 10 seeds, with 5 seeds in each of two 5 gallon pots of coco. As of yesterday, all 10 are above ground and reaching for the light. I will call today Day 1 of the journey.........here we go.

Very cool project. What strains are you starting with?
I am still debating that. After my initial seed run, I was thinking of a couple Mephisto girls. Maybe Walter White. Cosmic Queen, or Creme de la Chem. I am also thinking of Remo's Chemo which is a wonderful photo strain. There is also a landrace Panama Red that I would like to play with, but it has a 16 week flowering period that would have to be worked down a fair bit. I still have time to figure it out while I make this seed run.

I think you are on the right track , first making more seeds and learn about the strain you use will be the best. I would recommend to do it with the other parent side the same way.

It's day 9 for the kids. They have been putting down roots and are now taking off. They are pretty healthy kids and are reaching for the lights. There are a few mutant looking leaves but they all seem to be on track. The one labeled A3 is significantly smaller than the rest but it is keeping up in everything but size. Things should start moving along with a little more speed now. Giving them 300ppm nutes twice a day and will hook up the auto feed once we start getting runoff. We will catch you all with another update in a week or so.......thanks for looking

We are at day 18 if my math is correct. The kids have taken off and are starting to show their gender. So far I can see 4 with balls and 2 with pistils. Hopefully will know all in the next few days. I am seeing basically two phenos , with one being taller and sparser, and the other is a shorter and bushier build. We are getting to the interesting part of the grow now and I expect things to start happening quickly. I will have to start some gentle lst to get them to spread out.

Thanks for stopping by for a look...........
