Three girls, 22 days old.

Decided to make my first compost tea
2 1/2 Gallon mix

Insect frass - 2 tablespoons
Neem Seed Meal - 1 tablespoon
1 1/4 cup EWC
Fish/seaweed extract - 5ml (don’t really remember)
Fish Sh!t - 10ml
Humic acid/fulvic acid - 2tsp
Mykos - 1 tbsp
Black stamp molasses - 2 tbsp

aerated for 24 hours. PPM was 850 I THINK
Added 10ml Cal/Mag+ before watering in. Believe this may have needed to be mixed in first but forgot.

End PPM was 1200 for the solution
PH 6.3
Is this way too strong for them?

Maybe I should have listed this in the general section or something lol

Not not really. you are just trying to essentially combine Modern methods such as always testing,EC,PPM ,PH n so on..which as an overall statement...Realy dont belong in organics with proper soil mixes or tea blends. Water quality and good products will get ya there easy peezy man.

Oh hey someone answered lol thanks. Yeah, I used quality products and quality water lol. But if you over water and over feed being able to check your PH makes sense no? Also the fact that no one answered at all is pretty lame.

Well fact is good water n all are great.. The key word is a proper Base..BASE... then build out from there in fairly proper proportions. doesn't have to be exact but not over the top either. I have never in my life checked a PPM,EC anything other than the PH of a base soil after composting..thats it in 10 years of doing this..not to mention my youger days.. the reason nobody answered(my guess that is) is that this sort of Hybrid information can be useful but creates nasty headaches and is widely known of true organics that that stuff just isnt useful other than soil PH and the good water and good to badass products.. thats it.. the works already done for you.. Hope that helps ya understand a little more man.. :pass:

Believe in the products and base. I prefer KIS but there are exact recipes out there.

You can't really over feed an organic grow using a compost tea, because you aren't really feeding the plants you are feeding the soil life. PPM is vital to keep in check with salt based nutes because an imbalance of salts can cause osmosis to slow, stop or reverse. With organics that's not an issue.

As long as your input PH is reasonable, your starting soil properly amended with a solid PH and your container size is large enough (are those 5 gallons or 3?) for a decent sized rhizosphere you should not have to worry about PH at all. If those are 3 gallons you should keep an eye on your input PH, but if they're 5 gallon or bigger I wouldn't even test it unless I saw a deficiency forming.

This is not really a compost tea, as there is no compost. You may get some bacteria from the insect frass, but this is really more of a nutrient application than anything. I don't know that a brewing period would be all that useful and may cause a bacterial bloom. Did it get stinky?

Offhand, this seems like a lot of N, which from your photos you may not want/need currently.

I think that is fine. As an FYI, the last compost tea I brewed was 1500 when done. It had 2 cups of build a flower, 1 cup BAS Craft Blend, 1/2 cup oyster shell flour, 1/2 cup seabird guano with 4 gallons of water.
