Been thinking for awhile of creating a journal where I can post the stuff I do that is not journaled very well (my fault of course). There will be some photo's, extractions, final pictures, smoke reports, and some experiments and such.

My hope is to have a one stop journal where when someone asks a question about something I have done I can find it, and know how it worked out and what I learned so I can pass it on to others in the community.

So to start it off last Thanksgiving Linda Seeds had a pretty good sale on autos and photos that were their genetics. I bought quite a few autos Fat Blueberry, Gorrilla Glue, Banana Smash, and others along with a bunch of photos. I went a little crazy but some of the seeds were 1.50 euro each if I remember correctly.

Below is the Bannana Smash I just harvested. I Wish I would of took a better photo and zoomed in, the fade is very pretty though.

She is dry in jars and pulled a smidge over three ounces. I have not smoked any yet but will be getting there soon. She had a light bannana smell with a hint of sweetness during flower I chopped around 70ish days. I kept this one pretty trimmed up and she was in the back of the tend as I had 8 other plants in the tent for most of her growth so she was not getting as much light as she could of. I think she could easily be a four ouncer and I will be running her again soon to test that. I

I can say the orange hairs on the buds are impressive looking. Not sure how much that means, but the bag appeal is great.

How are you liking the Linda genetics? I've seem limited but mixed reviews on them,... How long did this Banana' girl take? And the bud, got a little smoke report? Those are some lovely nugg's indeed,...
She sure is juicy- -- that's an impressive press return! In the pics it's hard to see her trich' coverage, but clearly she's loaded if that much gooey goodness is seeping out!
How's the buzz? Banana's tend to be pretty narco-sleepy....

I like Linda's so far. I have not found the one that I would say is the best they offer. Working my way through it though. I am running two of their photos now Wedding Cake &Gelato 33. I finished the Fat Blueberry and it is pretty good very old school floral blueberry taste. She leans Sativa dominant not sure what the cross was with, I should of took a picture though very strange structure for a blueberry. I have their Guerilla Glue finishing up in a month. By the end of next month I will be through 6 or 7 of their strains.

I added a orange bubble gum bud shot. She presses well as far as return and taste, the only other auto I have found that is close in return is Mephito's Double Grape. I have ran that plant so many times and I just cant get the yield(bud weight) I can with OBG so I have stopped growing it for now.

HSO Lingerie makes the best concentrate from pressing as far as taste goes that I have found. Yield not so much. I keep telling myself i should cross it with Wedding Cake or on of Oni's strains like Strawpicanna and see if I can get a better press and retain the high and flavor from Lingerie. That would take skill and time that I do not have right though. So I keep pressing it because it is worth it.

I hope they pan out well! After you run through some of them like you mentioned, maybe toos up a review thread in the seed/breeder section... I see a lot of folks buying from them, saying they have good selections and a "nice-price" on many... Cheap is always a gamble, but the way seed prices are going these days, small blame to the bargain hunters! And some of them still pop off some dicey genetics
The whole "Dessert" family pop-culture craze has lead to some rather watered down stuff,... you know the deal, seen it time and again right?
Hopefully Linda made them from proper cuts... I have yet to run SeedStockers Gelato 41, Sherbet, Cookies&Crm., but reports have been generally good!
Truth is AJ, I'm leaning more and more away from commercial stuff, and into more private or small scale passion-based breeders... Photo's more so that auto's, but that's shifting too as I chip away at the bloody backlog of stock I have! In fact photo's this year will all be private bred, some custom crosses, a couple repro's... They keep bumping the other stuff -
With the demise of Dinafem/HSO, some of the cultivars I have but not run yet may need to be fem'ed to preserve them in case they're really good! But that's a time/resource task i can't accommodate right now, so best they sit for now.... gotta learn how to make fem's too, first... You too if Lingerie is a keeper!
Plenty of skilled folks here to tap into for how-to, and you can buy a ready-made STS as well,... the new guys Twenty20 Mendo have some for sale.... mostly it's about timing, and having the right set up to deal with a pollen maker!

...yup, classic Banana-type effect! ... A really rich banana aroma bud will show in the smoke too, but it's hard to get that consistently... typical!

I myself am leaning more towards smaller breeders. La Buena Herba is on my list of favorites right now working through a few of his strains at the moment. I honestly cant figure out how he is not more popular. As far as I am concerned no one and I mean no one can do a haze auto as well as he can. Maybe it is the language barrier. The regular aspect on his autos makes it tough with space though

Yeah HBSS is the real deal I ran it probably 5 or 6 times great smoke though. I actually ran it because I saw that @BigSm0 was running it a lot at the time. Its been a few years back though.

Pre Chop picture of my Linda's GG#4. Never grown GG so was not real sure what to expect. Very chunky big buds I am a fan of the fade, but I always am.

Made some bubble hash for the first time. Process was not complicated. We will see how it works out. I ran 400 grams of fresh frozen. not really focusing on yield so much as this was a combo of many strains some hash friendly some not (Orange Bubble Gum, Lemon Pie, Lingerie) and most of the weight was popcorn or that second layer of buds that just were not top shelf.

It is still drying out. The 74 micron has the best golden color my 45 micron darkened a lot I figured it would be the lightest. I will post some pictures once fully dry and a smoke report in a week or so.

BTW the 160 is really grainy with lots of material in it. SO it just essentially kept it from getting into the 120. The 120 looks pretty good just a little darker than the 74.
