Hey everyone,

Planning on a soil grow with canna terra, and have the 5 pack biobizz start park (bloom, grow, top Max, heaven and root juice).

Do I need/should I have any other nutes in addition to these?

Internet be telling me I need things like pk13/14, cal mag, rhizo etc.

I have read some posts here, but just want to try to get it in one concise dose.

Can someone please offer some actual wisdom (as opposed to someone just trying to get me to buy something they are plugging(not on AFN)).

Cheers and beers

You've already collected more than some old stoners ever use...I'm a loooong term bio bizz products user....but since I'm only a 'med' grower for quality bud out of small pots of bio bizz light mix, I've whittled my ferts to bio-grow, bio-bloom, calmag that are only began when moved to a flower area under led after vegged 3 weeks under T5HO with only DI water.
I do the same thing with all autos and photos, perpetually, and am happy as shit.
Just try to avoid 'pushing' your plants into doing things that you won't have time to fix.

Here's my 2 cents;

I don't think you need anything extra until you start learning about nutrients and how they could be beneficial.
Then you can start looking at products as in what ingredients it contains instead of listening to everyone telling you something different.
As a first timer the best thing to do is pick a brand and start learning as you grow.
Biobizz is like the mainstream brand, a lot of new growers end up starting with it.

However you do need 1 more Biobizz product, Acti Vera. (and I would keep a bottle of calmag around aswell)
Activera is a source of enzymes, boosts metabolism, uptake, etc., I wouldn't leave that one out.
Bio Heaven is amino, fulvic acids, etc so don't skip on that one either.

Alg A Mic is supposed to be helpful with stressed plants and increases chlorophyll absorption, so I think it could be good even to use sometimes as a foliar spray when they need a little boost.

Rhizotonic is like a better version of root juice, a root booster with alot of trace elements and vitamins, fairly expensive but supposed to be one of the best. It's algae based, so is root juice. So I guess take your pick.

PK13/14 is a flower booster used for 1 week containing phosphorus and potassium.
You can always find other sources of PK like adding more bloom if they need it.

Calmag is always useful to have around in case of deficiencies, if you use RO water then you will need it.
If you use tapwater you should look up how much cal mag it already contains.

Good luck : )

This was super useful! Thanks mate, really appreciate it. I think I will go with the 5 pack start pack and some cal mag and go from there and see how things play out.

Any thoughts on adding molasses into a grow?

Cheers n beers

There should be a prevention dose written on the biobizz chart for calmag, if it's soil and tapwater you would only need a bit every couple weeks.
In case of deficiencies you can apply it as a foliar spray during veg.

Molasses yes very good but very dangerous if you're not certain how to use it.
It's rich in several elements which in overdose will kill your plant.
Also depends what brand I would certainly not cheap out on it.

I would personally leave molasses out for the 1st grow, this way it's easier to solve any issues, the less products the less possible causes.
But I would research more about it, it's certainly something most growers add to their shelf, maybe find a journal of someone who uses it with biobizz, and then you can use it in your next grow.

I find bio heaven great for transplant / topping autos at half strength for the first 2/3 weeks helps relieve stress and helps the plant manage environmental changes too. I do think bio bizz have a bit of an extensive range tho, but great for learning about organics and microbes and pretty hard to BURN anything but can cause lockout and build up in the root zone if u follow there chart and run autos. i go for heaven, grow, bloom and top max and never go near there recommended doses but every one will find there own median after a few runs also don't just change nutes/lights/substrate just coz u had a bad run find the cause and learn to understand what and why it went wrong and re run same till u get it right other wise You'll be chasing Ur tail for a long time trying to correct things that were relevant to Ur last run only

Just my 2p /cents :coffee2:
