Hey everyone,

The closest girl with yellowing leaves is my concern. She's currently on day 56 post sprout being grown in a 3gal fabric pot with Roots Organic Original soil. I added Dr. Earth's Tomato, Vegetable, and Herb fertilizer 4-6-3 around day 20. It started with a few yellow leaves, and just a few days later, it's much worse. I've had to pull a few leaves that were starting to shrivel and turn brown (they came off really easy, barely had to pull them)

Ignore the other two plants in the back, those have Kind Soil under the Roots Organic and seem to be doing great.

Any help would be really appreciated

This was her 2 days ago

Is there a better spot to be posting questions like this? I don't get many responses, if at all

You've posted in the correct section Seeds. Just be patient and I'm sure an educated mind will respond in due course.

How much fertilizer did you feed and how did you do it? Mixed in water, top dress, etc? If it's been 36 days with no additional nutrients she might just be hungry.

Dr Earth is supposed to be slow release, but it's really only slow release for top dress or if you mix it into the soil.
If you made a tea is bet it's all eaten up or flushed out with watering already.

The bag I used called for 1/4 cup for 5 gallons, so I used just shy of that for 3 gallons. I just added it into the top 1-2 inches of soil and mixed it around the best I could and watered after.

I did the same yesterday, with a little less. Hopefully I didn't make the problem worse, but I figured she was hungry.

Using tap water, between 6.5-7.0 ph

I've run dr earth, not bad stuff.

It looks like a N deficiency, but if it were in my tent, I'd get a soil sample and run a slurry test, get a ppm and a pH were the plant is feeding. If the numbers look good, shes just underfed, or, it may point to something else entirely.
things get a little more simple to run down once we've got a reference

This is my first grow, so my knowledge is very limited and I don't have many tools lol. I had to use Google to find out what a slurry test is. I've just been using the liquid ph test from General Hydroponics, I'm assuming I would need an actual meter for a slurry test?

Yep a meter would be needed.
So the feed instructions say to mix 1/4 cup with 5 gallons, but you mixed it into the soil? Or into 3 gallons and then watered in?

It will take a few days to see any response from what you've fed, I am concerned if you mixed it straight into the soil, and added water after, you could have created an overly hot situation as the nutes aren't disolved.

Do you have any low budget recommendations?

I meant gallons of soil. That post of mine was poorly worded, sorry for that. I mixed the fertilizer directly into my 3 gallon fabric pot, then watered. I only mixed a few inches deep around the entire pot, I assumed the water would do the rest.

These are the instructions I followed. The first feeding was around day 20, but I repeated the same process yesterday
