Help my 2 plants are suffering.

Thank you for the great and full answer, you could well be right. Unfortunately, I do not have any malted barley or a coffee grinder.
I think there is some malted barley in pre-packaged form from a nutrient company, so I'll take a look into that.
Don't you think PH is the issue?

Sorry. I had some problems with my DSL connection. Internet was down for awhile...

pH an issue? Seems so. For "organic" products, a low pH seems odd though.

Can you snap some shots of the ingredients/fert' label for the products you're using?

Thanks for the reply, I'll get some up for you tomorrow, there's quite a few, see first post, I have the whole range.
Do you want to see the ingredients for all products?

After finding the correct website for the products you're using, I don't think I'm going to be able to help.

I do the compost-based-soil-mix thing, amended with solid plant based fertilizers, not liquid products. My apologies man. I wasn't paying attention.

No reply dude, I don't think I'll be using the products again.
I don't like their results so far.
One ingredient I didn't like the sound of in the Old Timer bloom was Phosphorus Pentoxide.
Doesn't sound very organic to me.
ALso also my plant have started showing issues now, really disheartening.

Sounds like you're running into the same thing as I have. Every grow no matter what I do they end up yellowing like that during flower.

I ended up buying the same pH meter you got, and to similar results. All had very acidic soil even though I adjusted my water to 6.8 every time the soil was sometimes down in the 4.8 range.

My well water is normally at 7.5 so I quit pHing. Still wasn't enough so I top dressed with garden lime and watered it in. That definitely helped.

I believe the minerals in my water were building up on the roots and the plants were making the soil acidic with root exudates in an attempt to break through to the nutes.

I'm installing a RO for this next grow to see if that makes a difference...

Doesn't dolomite lime take quite a while to be useful?

It does take a bit for the plants to uptake the calcium, but it neutralizes the acidity almost immediately.

There's lots of kinds though, and I used the epsoma from Home Depot. It dissolved quite a bit when I watered it in and seeped down into the soil.

The only thing I can say is you may want to think about adding some cal-mag to your RO water IF you go that route... That's what i do my tap is <8ph 300-400ppm:nono: I was using straight RO for awhile but ran into similar issues.. MOG recommended adding just a little cal-mag 50-60 ppm ph 6.4 then send it.... Cause pure RO and distilled will go acidic rather quickly

MOG told me this:

"RO water actually goes acidic 5.5 or less when exposed to air. Pure water starts at 7.0 but it attracts Co² and becomes acidic rapidly. You do not need to PH it but you may want to add a little of the Lobster Meal to your applications. Don't go crazy."

"This may be the source of your problem, RO water when exposed to air will drop the PH to 5.5 or less. Your pot is probably getting out of range.

The best thing to do is add 50PPM of Cal-mag to the water and let it sit overnight PH to 6.4 and then use it to water your plants. "

Thanks, I was thinking there might be some issues with straight RO. But at least I will know what I'm starting with, instead of trying to compensate for unknowns in my water.

I'll mix some of that garden lime into the soil to start with. It's pretty much straight Cal-mag
