Looking to do an upgrade for tax return season! Not sure what i should do maybe you guys can help me out. I got 2 tents right now one is a 2x4 with 2 240 blackstars which i really like. I bought a t5 for my secret jardin dr60. Not really liking it though. Its a hydrofarm 2 light system (6500k) ~$60. Just looking for some tips.

sounds like you just need 2 more backstars to put in your other tent and you be blowin up son!!!!!:ama: I'm thinking about a thousand watt hps setup on top of my 400 watt with my tax loot! waiting for my upgraded 400 watt bulb ralt now, got an ushio! holler at me!

Im using ushio bulbs you will love them. I suggest you mix led and t5. It's nice mix and I do it as well.
T5's HO are great with an 8 bulb fixture. But if you do get something like that, there is a T5 VHO. But they will put out a large amount of heat, even for fluorescence's...

The VHO bulbs are 7200 Lumen - 95 watts each. While the HO lamps offer 5000 Lumens - 54 watts. So an 8 lamp will have 576,000 lumen thats 176,000 more lumens. Although you are running 328 more watts. T5 lamps give off the same amount of heat as an HID light watt per watt. So a 4ft 12 lamp VHO T5 fixture is just as hot as 1000W HPS or MH light. We suggest giving your plants at least 9 inches.

If your wanting light for your dr60 just get another blackstar 240w mate,I have the same tent and with it only being 2x2 sq you wouldn't fit a bad boy in there,the badboy lights i checked out are 4 ft,Iv seen blackstar doing a 300w panel too,that would also work great

I believe with that T5, you'll be able to keep the plants at a max. form the light, 5'' and as close as 3''. Mine is an 8 bulb fixture and 3 to 5 inches works the best...:thumbs:
Put them much further away and those little babies will stretch like rubber...
