I went looking for some info on the strains Zen G-13 and White Widow and am confused to find what appears to be a G-13 company as well as Zen. Can someone explain the lineage of my beans?

I did the same thing WWWillie forgot I had to go to the farm for a new sack of worm compost. I went Friday morning and a 10 minute gig turned into an hour when the guy said "I have to make up a bag." Last time that happened, the results were not as good as when I got a bag that had been sitting a while. So I asked if he had any pre bagged in the potting shed. By the time I got out of there I missed most of Optic Foliar. But OH yeah.Got home and opened the sack and there were the many Spring Tails and good bugs sitting on top as I had hoped. For a split second. Then :poof: they all scurried and burrowed in as soon as the light hit them..Good thing b'cause if the wife ever saw me bringing all those critters into the house, she would freak.

from Wikileaf:

G-13 is believed to have originated in a research facility in Mississippi in the 60s or 70s, where, with the help from the University of Mississippi, pure Afghani Indica clones were used to attempt the creation of a super Indica strain. As the story goes, Neville Schoenmaker convinced someone working there to bring him a cut from one of the strains, labeled G-1 to G-23. G-13 was chosen as the most stable. This strain flowers for six to eight weeks to produce a reportedly high yield and works very well in a Sea of Green. Unfortunately, true G-13 is a rare find as it is available in clone form only.

Ah yes! The iconic Mississippi Med weed. Thanks SloMo I had always thought that a myth until around 1984. when I met a guy who received it. Pre rolled in a coffee like tin can.
This is going to be good. I get to grow out 2 golden oldies that I never have.

Hi Dudeski. I'll be growing 2 ZEN auto G-13s and 2 auto White Widows
The media will be a worm farm compost. 3 in 3 gallon Airpots, 1 in a regular 3 gallon pot.
Nutrients will be Remo
Lights are 3 55w Cobshop Autocobs at 20/4.
I'll be using some skewer LST at first to jumpstart the lower branches but after that they will grow out naturally.

Very nice! Your details are short and specific. I may have to use that myself.
Do you usually run 20/4?
