Thanks for your time and advice dude. I'm at day27 so don't think I should be starting bloom feed and my ec is @ 1.6 when I last changed the res, but the ec does rise a bit over next day or so but I'm not getting any nute burn at all. My roots look really healthy to me but I could defo be wrong so I'm thinking could be 4. The plant might be out of range and if that be the case what can I do chap? Thanks again man,

if you think its number 4 then make sure your ph pen is calaberated and giving you accurate readings and aim for 5.7-6.0

if your ph and ec was stable before your last res change but now the ec is rising it would be better to keep the plant where she was happy and maybe drop her back

the rule of thumb is

ec up ph down = less feed
ph up ec down = increase feed
ec stable ph stable = happy plant

out of curiosity if ph went up and ec also went up (if possible) what kind of problem would that be???

if your growing in dwc correctly then you should only get the above movements of ph and ec if your experiencing something else than your doing it wrong and id make a fresh res and start again

the object is to get your plant drinking water and ec in equal amounts, this is known as her sweet spot if you find this your plants will stay happy

if your mixing a res make sure you add any nutrients containing cal/mag 1st and then load other nutrients in after untill you get your desired ec, ph the soloution to where you want it to be and wait for it to stabelize, once your ph has stabelized you can add the feed to your plant or your plant to the feed

i cant believe their isnt a hydro section on this forum where people can get info and advice for all things water culture

You pretty much confirmed everything I've read I'm currently doin a dwc starting off slow until I get the hang it. If interested check out my signature.

M8 thanks alot again, you are the water culture forum lol. No better place to go for advice on dwc. Was going thru your td thread last night and now I'm thinking maybe it is wanting bloom feed as my girls are around the same age as your td was when you switched her over. its still early days my freind

its nice to think your in control of the plant but im the one who is checking her ph and ec, giving her fresh changes when she needs them or topping her up also making sure she has enough light and her temps are right so i reckon its the other way round and she has found my groove lol
