Dutch Passion Yozhik grows Auto Night Queen & Auto Blackberry Kush

This is a testing time!

Temps outside are insane.
Last couple of days have been knocking on 40°C
And there's no hiding from it.
At one point yesterday afternoon, the car - in the garage, in the shade, zero direct sunlight - was showing 44°C.
Inside the house at 11pm at night, its over 30°C.
The BASEMENT, where the grow room is, shows 28°C ambient room temp.

So keeping a Grow Tent, with lighting "in the zone", is an act of scientific wonder I am struggling to get on top of.
To be honest, if I can keep the Grow Tent temps anywhere around the 30°C mark, I consider it a victory!
FFS - the plants are being spoilt with cooler temps than I am!
Might not be too long before I end up sleeping in the Grow Tent, to try and escape the heat!

Next week isn't looking any different.
The lowest maximum temps for the 7 day forecast is around 33°C, but mostly around 36-38°C
Doesn't look like letting up anytime soon ... AND IT'S NOT EVEN THE HOTTEST MONTHS OF SUMMER YET!

Holy snapping duck shit, we still have to navigate July and August.
We might be re-enacting Hades here before too long.

Jeeesh! Sounds like you've got trying times ahead! We've been lucky the last few days over here. Sunny with some gusts of wind now and then. So no ac yet. I can only imagine what your energy bill is gonna look like... But hey...! It's all for the cause right? Keep up the good work Yozhik! [emoji106][emoji106]

TBH, I'm being frugal on this grow, for that exact reason.
:pighug:

I knew I would have to run the A/c
That was a given.

So, I wanted to simplify the grow, and be more financially efficient, wherever possible.
Hence moving to a complete soil, with minimal nutes, from a Light soil with nute overkill.

It's also why the Nursery Tent had a 250W CFL not a 600W HPS.
And the reason I'm running 2 x 600W instead of 4 x 600W in the Grow Tent.

By my calculation, 2 x 600W + A/c, is probably using LESS power than 4 x 600W.
Hopefully, I'm still ahead of the game.

... Just sayin' ...

Grow Tent stabilised at 29°C and 42%RH.

The ambient temperature of the grow room, in which the Grow Tent resides, is 28°C.
The house is 30°C, and outside occasionally 40+°C.

Honestly?
While 29°C might not be ideal - given the conditions - it could be a lot worse.

COMMENTS:

Big battle, as documented in previous posts, has been the temps here.
I'm quietly confident I'm on top of it, as best I can.

Yes - temps are a little higher than I would like, but still within the zone, albeit the upper limits.
Humidity was lower than I liked, so have tried to do a "quick fix" with a water reservoir placed directly in front of an oscillating fan, with the hope than any water that evaporates can be displaced around the tent by the moving air.

Whereas the tent humidity was slipping into the 30's. With the addition of the water reservoir, it seems to have climbed into the 40's, so maybe a 5%RH difference - but that's both measurable, and significant at this stage.
Lights off, the Temps are closer to 25°C, and Humidity up in the 50's, closer to 60%RH.
Happy with that.

One of the Auto Night Queen girls is showing significant heat stress [low humidity].
I'm hoping the reservoir will slowly fix that, and the lights off humidity will assist in her recovery.

Also of note is Auto Blackberry Kush 3 - she's lanky lass.
Legs up to her armpits.
Large internodal spacing, and what looks to be minimal budsites.
She's like an anorexic, hormonally challenged, basketball player.
Long, lean, and not much in terms of girly bits.
Then again, she could be a swan, and turn into a leggy supermodel.
Stranger things have happened.

Sounds like your [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] is growing similar to mine!! Mega lanky and stretchy.

Wow! BK3 looks like a totally different phenotype. Sativa growth pattern but Indica leaves. It'll be interesting to see if she can hold up her branches when they're loaded with buds. But be on the lookout for bananas in the meantime buddy! You never know... It'd be a shame if you harvest "consemilla" instead of sinsemilla. [emoji256][emoji256]
