Dutch Passion Yozhik grows Auto Night Queen & Auto Blackberry Kush

Hey up yoz anytime you get your grow on feel free to tag away [emoji106]

Mate, to be honest, something is up with my notifications - it's never been working right.
Perfect example, I have you on follow, but then I have to accidentally stumble across one of your threads to see what you're up to.
I never get an "event" or notification that @Wile e Peyote is in da house!

Really freakin' annoying.
There's a few of you guys I like stalking ...

Maybe the restraining order is working, and I'm being prevented from my virtual reality daily fap session outside your tent ...

Now THERE'S a mental image that's going to take a while to erase ...

DAY 8

TENT.JPG

The Auto Night Queen substitute has shown itself.
I'm not convinced she is 100% viable.
Time will tell.

Maybe she'll show strength through adversity, or whatever the feelgood hipster expression du jour is these days.
Fuck the PC language - "grow a pair and toughen up, you whiney little bitch!"
Obviously a little gender disphoria there - telling a feminized seed to grow a pair isn't to be taken literally - it's the underlying motivational passion that she should focus on ...

There ... some Ol' School motvation.

Anyway - hats off to her for breaking through in just 24 hours.
Now let's see what she is made of.

So, here are the pics.
3 x Auto Blackberry Kush, followed by 3, yes 3 Auto Night Queens.

DAY 11

TENT.JPG

Things seem to be happening as they should be.
I've consciously made a couple of changes this grow, to try and simplify things, long term.

Obviously most notable [for me], is starting the grow in the "Drying" tent, instead of the larger "Grow" tent.
It just seemed to make sense for seedlings, and is a hell of a lot easier to control.

Secondly is the lighting.
Whereas in all other grows, the first light the girls have seen has been a single 600W HPS, this time I have opted for a 250W 6500k CFL.
It just made sense, and so far, seems to be working well.
To be honest, I have struggled with it, because I'm used to MORE light.
Doesn't mean there is not enough light, it just means I'm used to more.

But I'm not the focus here; I'm not the one growing, so my preferences mean fuck all.

Finally - and this one is probably not as noticeable, I've really backed off on the watering and nute schedule.
Previously, I would have been a member of the "small amounts and often" club.
As a result, I feel I tended to overwater the babies.
I have habitually always been a "everything but the kitchen sink" nute kinda guy too.
That's just my honest appraisal of my performance.

This time, I'm pretty much leaving them alone.
Watering is maybe every 3 to 4 days.
Tough love.
They want water? They need to go look for it.
Periods of wet and dry.
The tent environment is stable - very stable.
It's in a good growing sweetspot for them; ~26 °C, with 50%RH ... so they really just need to be left alone to do their thing.

Best thing I can do for them, is just get out of the way.

In terms of nutrients, this time I'm going to lean towards minimalism.
House & Garden Root Excelerator is my weapon of choice, from the outset.
I love this shit - it is my "go to".
It's not cheap, but a touch of this [tiny amounts needed] goes a LONG way.
Tap water is pH'd to ~6.3, or as close as practically possible.
My tendency is to favour the Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect A+B base nutes.
Depending on other factors, this may or may not be the option here.
In other words, a good base, and then as little as I can get away with, to produce what I want to.
Less is more is where my head is at this time.

Photo time.

They're looking great Yozhik! I'd have started with light nutes now too. And the root accelerator is indeed fabulous stuff! I keep it in my fridge for longevity...
Keep up the great work buddy!

COMMENTS:

Gave the babies some food today - again light nute menu.
Base nutes plus supplements beneficial to root development.

It's all about the roots baby ...

A little concerned at some funky ass leaf discolouration particularly in the Auto Night Queen substitute.
Going to keep a close eye on it.
Early days - she can mend herself if I keep providing the right environment and the nutrients she needs.

One of the Auto Night Queen babies is showing her hand early, and looking to be a young pageant queen.
Her structure is not like the other - very symmetrical - almost a perfect square.
Honey Boo Boo could turn out to be a real crowd pleaser.
Just hope she doesn't crash and burn and end up on a stripper pole in some bourbon laced snakepit, sucking on an unsteralised pipette, giving out lapdances to support her nutrient habit.

OK - selfie time ... (3 x Auto Blackberry Kush, followed by 3 x Auto Night Queen, featuring Honey Boo Boo)

They're going fast buddy! I'm sooo tempted to grow inside again. Last week we had a heat wave reaching 35°C and now the girls are on my window sill waiting for the rain and wind to stop. I really don't want them waterlogged!
About night queen [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG]... Dunno what's causing that. I think it's an autofem thing. I have never seen that with photoperiods. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the situation. Honey boo-boo sure is catching up huh?
