Things ticking along nicely.
Even Auto Night Queen # 1 (the Taco Extremist) seems to be improving - at least to MY eyes she is.

The colour seems ot be good.
To be honest, I'm a lot happier with the colour of the girls in this grow, than in any other grow, where I think I was always on the cusp of N-toxicity.
Previously leaves in the tent were close to a dark British Racing Green.
This time its a lot closer to the green I want to see on my girls.

Also should mention something that surprised me - in a GOOD way - about the Grotek nutes.
Tap water here has a pH of 7,5.
Yeah - it's shit.
So when I mixed up the nutes, I had some good ol' trusty pH Down at my side, ready to serve up lashings to get it within the sweetspot range.

I didn't need to.

It seems that the Grotek has a buffer in it, similar to the Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect range.
Either that, or I just got incredibly lucky and fluked a perfect mix.
When the Bluelabs pH probe went into the feed mixture, it shows 6.3 to 6.5, depending on whether I go 'light' or 'heavy' handed.

So I am loving the Grotek nutes, if for no other reason than it being idiot proof in terms of pH.
The plants seem to be loving the combination of the Grotek nutes and the CannaTerra Professional Plus soil ... touch wood ...

After seeing you feed these auto's these EC levels I'm wondering if the myth about auto's being light feeders is kinda antiquated. I'm still feeding my outdoor autofems an EC of around 1.2 because of the myth... Should I start feeding these new generation auto's like photoperiods? I'd feed photoperiods (more or less) 1.7 for long flowering sativa's and 2.3 for faster indica's.
What are your thoughts Watson? [emoji6]

I've never known any different.
Ignorance is bliss?

My water starts at 0.6 EC out of the tap.
From there, I add the nutes - normally 1/4 to 1/2 strength.

This is the first time using Grotek - I'm usually an Advanced Nutrients fanboy.
So I might be a little heavy handed.
Still learning on that point.

My naive mindset is the plants will tell me if it's too much.
I've seen no signs of them pushing back, no nute burn; nothing to suggest an aversion the feeding schedule.
Maybe I should dial it back a bit?
EC is never something I've been concerned with.
Rightly or wrongly, I've left that to the plants to communicate to me.

To be honest I've only grown the earlier generations of autofems with varying results. I over fed most of them because I'd give them the same as my photoperiods. But seeing how your plants are loving it I'm gonna bump it up a little now. My Auto Daiquiri limes excepted though. They're a finicky bunch. They show iron deficiencies every time I feed them... Yellowing growth tips with very thin fingers on the leaves. I get them back on track by foliar feeding them minerals and trace elements.
Sorry to slowly hijack your nice thread though. Lol

Well isnt that odd!! Last season i accidently gave a very strong dose of nutes to my plants....and the daiquiri was the only plant to not only take the strong nutes just fine, but to love the strong nutes!

If you look at my earlier journals, I'm pretty sure you could summarise them by stating I fed them Advanced Nutrients Kitchen Sink.

I pretty much threw everything with a label at them.
