growing 3 plants, auto wappa, auto whiteberry and auto carmello. When I picked these for my first time grow I was looking at time and height requirements only. I needed them quick and small. LOL
I didnt get quick or small.
according to the packages (HA) carmello and wappa should have been done first and about a month ago. both are still growing and are little jungles all on their own. They appear to still have at least a few weeks of growth in them. There is bud, but would like to see more. The whiteberry, that was to be the longest growing was done, dried and packaged as of this morning. I got a little less than an ounce and is very light and fluffy.
I have the same three plants started again.
So far I have added humidity-the room was around 34%. I now have it around 50%. didnt want to take it up too high while the other adult plants are.
I have added a slight breeze-I dont need one of the air pumps right now so it is blowing gently across the tops of the babies.
and I have the babies up on a shelf where it is warmer-last batch grew at around 64% with lights on. Now they are 10 degrees warmer at 64 with lights off and 72-76 with lights on.
SHOULD I TRY ANYTHING ELSE?
I am using DFN Nutes grow until I see flower then switched to bloom. DWC all in 12 litre pots with air line and stones. PH is kept between 5 and 6.

the whiteberry should have taken the longest and it got hung

Hi SS, sounds like low temperatures and humidity were your biggest issues. Sounds like you are still at the low end of the preferred environment. How about some pictures of the 2 remaining plants so folks can see if they can spot any other issues

unable to get pictures posted at the moment.
the plants look fine. leaves are green and perky, no limp or discoloured.
I am also going to put holes in my buckets so I can tie down the bigger fan leaves and give the center more light. all the bud sites on the inside of the plant were tiny.

What lights are you using...sounds like cfl if the buds are light and fluffy and your temperatures are low...

Also what light schedule do/did you use?

Pictures would certainly help

have them on 18/6 light schedule. have them under T5HO fluorescent tubes to start. Moved them under 400 HPS later on after buds start to show. The temp is due to being in a cedar closet in the basement. Before I added the HPS I had a heater in there, which made it even dryer. So sounds like I should be optimistic that a warmer temp and higher humidity will bring me bigger yields?!?!

Higher temps will definitely help and personally, I would go 20/4 with the light schedule which should also help with temperatures as well as generating more bud.

Other thing is to have a fan circulating air from the start as this generally keeps the plant from growing tall and lanky. The plants will put their energy into bud production and not supporting endless lanky branches.

ps

Put a bowl of water near a fan in your growspace if humidity is too low

what did your roots look like ? cause that temperature is not that horrible, Id rather be on the safe side cold than hot. What was average water temp? and PPM? IMO DWC is all about your roots, the combination between good water temp, as much air as you almost can get, perfect PH and then nutrient value is pretty much the math equation for success. I failed two DWC grows from water temp alone. The plants never even attempted to strive, the roots just couldn't take off. 50% humidity is do-able most of my grows stay around there till the plant gets big enough to effect the humidity. I use misting and a wet rags hanging around or near, worse case go to goodwill and buy a humidifier for like 3 bucks. I see them all the time.

Warmer temp maybe, if it was really low before, but not humidity. 40-50% is just fine if not perfect. When higher, water circulation slows, mold/budrot start to get interested in your best buds, foxtailing is more likely, if you overfeed with P and/or K, but younger plants feel a little bit better, especially when very young with poor root system to bring water up to leaves. But plants grow well even if very humid.

I grow one single strain in all conditions that different seasons bring into my grow room. I have not seen any significant difference having RH between 35% (I do not let it go lower, I put humidifier in) and 70% (I do not let it go higher). I have not made comparative tests, these are just my impressions, but humidity is not very important as long as you keep it somewhere in between 35-70.

What about your water and feeding, maybe there is some room for improvement there?
