I've been using Botanicare cal mag and was startled to note it was 2-0-0 npk.

I suddenly connected this to some N tox symptoms I've had.

I see where a lot of the other companies cal mags have N as well.

I know I've seen some recommendations for cal mags without N, but cannot seem to locate the appropriate threads.

I'm lookin at GH GO cal mag as a possibility, I would prefer somethin I can get through Amazon. What would you reccomend guys?

Thanks sanguine. I did notice a seperate set on Amazon but they weren't Canna. There is certainly logic to your approach, I might go this direction. I've had a bad Mag def but not Calcium so i see where you're comin from. I've got epsom though so I think I'd still like a combo product but perhaps at a reduced dose which I could then supplement with epsoms as needed. But no extra N!

Thats true dude but if the add chelates or humic/fulvic acids this helps absorbsion to the root zone but that takes time to have effect i think.
The most common source is calcium nitrate which is easier absorbed by plants but is 15%N thats why nearly all suppliments have high N values!
Im off to do some more reasearch

So, I still use Botanicare's calmag. But when I get a finicky one, I skip it for her and use this instead, just for that one plant...
