Would you recommend having the exhaust from tent with filter in your room?

I have the 32x32 tent with the ac infinity 6" fan with ac infinity carbon filter in the closet in the bedroom and I leave the door to the closet open to keep the temperature lower in the tent and the exhaust from the tent just runs up out of the top of the tent. I put the carbon filter on the fan today and I now can notice a different smell in the bedroom that smells like air that was run through the carbon filter on there.

That is ok right? Is there any reason that breathing that carbon filter exhaust air from the tent for hours overnight would have any problems from it? It may be a silly question but want to make sure it is safe to do on there.

I've had my inline fan on top of my carbon filter outside my tent (6' from tent) for years. You need to have a window cracked for fresh air.

Thanks. Does it exhaust to where you sleep? Why do you recommend having the window open? I have the fan on the lowest setting and the door open to the closet the tent is in and the temperature in the tent is around 75 - 79 in the tent on there.

My tent is in a spare bedroom with window open that is closest to tent.
How far is the closet from a window? You want fresh air available to cycle through tent.

Thanks. Why does it need fresh air if the temperature is ok in the tent? It is in the apartment that I do not want to run exhaust out the window on there.

One reason for fresh air is for CO2. Your plant uses it for photosynthesis and expels oxygen. Now if you do alot of heavy breathing in your bedroom you, and if you have a partner you'll be expelling alot more CO2 which is good for the plant.
So to conclude,
No heavy breathing = open window
Heavy Breathing = close window (and your neighbors will be happier too)
LOL no but fresh air is good

The real concern in a closed environment is water. The air that goes through the carbon filter is simply cleaned and what comes out has no potential problem except maybe some dust the first time it is run. The problem you face is the water that the plants give off just keeps recycling getting wetter and wetter The RH in your living space can get high in a short time when the plants are big. If you are running AC in the summer your condenser can remove the water but if the system is old or has not been serviced in a while you could gum shyte up. Lots of other things to consider - mold! Blah blah blah So open a window

As ManOGreen said, RH is an issue. You might want to buy a RH gauge to keep track of things. If you let RH get too high during flowering, you may find yourself fighting mould. VPD charts are your friend... :pighug:

You don't need to open a window. I have been growing in a tent (which stays open not zipped shut) in my spare bedroom. The door to the room is open to provide heat/ac if needed but really it's open so I can go in and look at my babies during the day. Been growing this way for 3 years without problems.

Summer is coming for most of us. You likely need to run AC where the tent is. You will want or need to exhaust to the outside the warmed moist air from the tent. It not, it will cost much more to cool and dehumidify the room with AC.
