DIY Would these be any good for making 2 diy led grow lights

I have been planning on making two 30w leds by using 10 leds (5red/5blue) and then a 30w led driver for both to connect to the mains.

so my question is would these be suitable as i came across them on ebay and seem like they will do the job i can pick up both blue and red from the same seller

any help appreciated

Yes these work, putting a lens on this kind with the aluminum heat sink is a no go because of the solder joints, at least for me. Ill be starting a tread on a DIY 18 piece 3w led UFO style this week end! Here is a great resource for led nm lengths.

When buying LEDs make sure your getting the right nm. There's lots of reds and blues.

well with the second link his reds are 620-630 and blue at 460-470 and he also has green too at 520-530 looking on that site you give me..... 400 – 520 nm This range includes violet, blue, and green bands. not sure yet as i looking around to try find the bes deal as i been thinking maybe just a 12v plug would do the same job as when you plug it in it turns it into a 12v supply which is what the 30w led drivers seem to do what do u think? im just really tight on budget so i want to try and get it as cheap as possible

but your from the states i live in the uk so i would probably have to pay inter shipping costs
