Why does my weed smell like grass

Could you just give us little more Information like where and how are you drying, what are the temps and RH. Does it still smell like hay in the jar.
There are quite few variables that can cause the hay smell. Normally it's because it's been placed in the jar to early.

It’s not even in the jar yet it’s still hanging dry took it of yesterday

Did you by chance wet trim at all before hanging?

I get that wen drying / start of cure
Just dry, jar n cure for a few weeks
Hay smell will go as u cure
Think it has something to do with chlorophyll?!?

chlorophyll stank. It will go away.
Like others have said you can get a bit of a hay smell at the start of dry more often than not, especially if you full plant hang leaves and all.
As long you have air flow (not to much) and temps are not to high you will be able to lock those turps down in the jar.
One thing to note is not all cultivars are loud. Some are subtle and under stated.
