hi all

Haven’t asked for help in a while but can’t figure out the problem. Current set up is NFT, I’ve got a few babies in there now, 3 weeks in, 4 since popping but one of them is growing strangely. See picture of that one and the one opposite which is exact same breed/ conditions and looking great

I cannot figure out why it’s doing this and annoyingly same happened on the last grow. I tried trimming leaves that time to give more light/ air to the whole thing but it didn’t work at all.

Anyone know what’s up?

test you talking about the yellowing?

Yep the yellowing and the fact it's half the size of the first picture, not branching out properly and generally doesn't look great in comparison to the other one. They are in the same position on the tray so exact same light position and all get waters and nutes from the same tank. I have no clue what is going on.

Also, there are others further down the tray from the dodgy one, all of those are fine so i dont think it can be the water mix (currently e.c 1.8 ph 5.8 - using canna aqua veg a/b, rizo, czym and budlink - like i've done for every one for years)

Sorry about the pics, they should be rotated 90 degrees to the right for correct viewing

Okay hmmmm? That is a tuff time one, being its all being fed from the same resivor,.... Are there any light leaks near the plant in question, can you see the root zone and check for slime?

No light leak - currently they are on 24/7 (although I did turn the timer on just before i left for work so from today they'll be 18/6) -
I looked to see if the roots had travelled down into the tank but they aren't stretching into it yet, i have an 8ft tray but only 5 plants in total (obviously use a spreader mat)

If I felt slime, what would that mean?
Thanks for the early help!!

I usually get slime from light leak.... It could be a picky girl, alot of times they won't all like the same things, such as pH 3 might like it at this number but [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] wants it 2 points lower or higher. What you need to keep an eye out for is it does not spread, as you probably know with hydro when it goes bad it usually goes bad fast....

@Muddy are you out there? See if we can't get some other eyes in here.
