Second degree burns in a few minutes is sobering. That is seriously strong, as in multiple times a mid day dose in the tropics, and potentially dangerous to eyes as well as skin.

I use screw in UVB bulbs in my diy arrays for a couple weeks late in flower, but do not know whether doing so helps or not. It's easy to do, so I will continue anyway. One day I might add UVA and/or UVC, if I find screw in bulbs cheap enough.. After all, just how potent do I need this stuff? What I grow now does the job quite well, and is already far better than what I can buy.

If you are getting the THC numbers expected for the strain then you are getting enough UVB. All of my friends that smoke noticed an immediate improvement in my crops when I started using it. They describe my buds as "Fire" now. The UVA has really improved the terpene profile. Than goodness for carbon filters!

Do not dismiss this so fast UVC will kill botrytis and all mold spores. But it must be used in small amounts so as not to damage the plant.

By any chance do you have any idea of the wattage specifically of UVB that you use? My UVB bulbs are ~14 watts each and I have four of them. I am not sure what their spectrum is, but there is virtually no visible light from them. I imagine that the spectrum might include a bit of UVA, maybe quite a bit of it, but little or no UVC. I have 4 of them, which will all get used in a 4x4 if I convert my 2x4 before the winter grow. As I recall, I used two of them in the last indoor grow in my 2x4. They just stayed on while the grow lights were on for 20 hours out of 24.

I don't know what THC levels I am getting, but others I have provided bud to tell me it is strong.

Does he specify 2 hours all at once or two hours split up? I split mine up in 15 min increments.

Don't think he specifies. Just for two hours. His light is much smaller than the four footer AgroMax. My brain hurts just looking at the formula to figure out the amount of light that is equivalent. I have a proficiency in calculus and trigonometry from high school and college, but that was a few brain cells ago...
