Indoor Who Else grows in Hempy Buckets?

I went out and grabbed a 2.5g bucket and root plugs last night actually. Instead of grow stones, can I use clay pebbles? I have a bag full of that still...

its been done, but i dont know. i wont tell you chit i dont know. Lowes does have pearlite under the Miracle grow brand. It pretty fine, but i used it on my Cindy 99 Bonsai i got growing now and mixed it with some clay pebbles and she is doing great. Just be aware of the dust in the bottom of the bag! dont worry about the fertilizer in it, its just a trace amount.

So I'm mixing the soil and pebbles? I thought it'd be pebbles up to drilled hole, then soil rest of way. Or am I misunderstanding?

dude i dont use soil. I use %100 pearlite. [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] or [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG]. If you have clay pebbles you can use them up to the hole and pearlite above that. you can either germ your seed straight in the pearlite, in a rooter plug in or out of the pearlite or in a pocket of seedling soil in the middle of the pearlite about the same size of a plug or slightly bigger. You dont want your soil to wash into the rez and make mud.
make a hole 2" up from the bottom 5/16-716 wide. add water and determine how much water your rez holds. That will help you when you water later. Add either straight pearlite or clay pebbles then pearlite to near the top. and your done. if you are going to use bio tabs or osmocote+ then you need to stir or do whatever sorcery you all do with bio tabs to the pearlite obviously. If you are going to use hydro nutes than just follow the mfg recomendations at a very light recommendation and work your way up till you see your plant get pissed or ask around for feed recommendations.

Old thread but tips never get old....
ya don’t have to water every day
UNLESS
your hempy-ing in a gallon or smaller container.
I water every 3-4 days in 2.5-3 gallon containers
This gives a wet/dry cycle ( though it never gets “dry”)
Forceing roots to search for water.
Bonus....
Never get root rot!!!
Grow on!!!
