Your roots will find light and stop growing in that direction, stunting the growth of the plant. Wrap some black trash bags, or aluminum foil around those pots, dude.

I bought some transparent net pots once, all plants in those became one bud wonders. In your case, it's not so bad because the soil provides darkness in the center of the pot, so there's some root growth.

I mean, I could be wrong, but I think it'll make a good difference for you to get them darkened.

I had no idea!! Thank you!! In my grand plan, that seldom exits my cranium, I was going to do reflectors to shine the light back, like a 50's sun tan face reflector jobber. But there's no room for such a contraption.. I guess under CFL it wasn't a problem. Analogous to alpha radiation - it can be stopped by paper, whereas gamma radiation 6" of concrete is required to arrest the particles. Thanks for the tip!!

OK. Well, I've had little more time since Wednesday, apparently, to do more than water. I did get some good pics and looks through a 10x geology hand lens. I noticed about 5-10 percent amber on a few locations of different sugar leaves, so at sun-up yesterday, I put maybe a litre of plain h²0 and got a decent runoff from princess pine. Going to hit her with water again at sun up on Sunday (tomorrow) and when the lights turn off, put her in a closet for a day or two, then go all redrummy. I should have some smoke for my buddy Pickle's birthday!! Super amped!! Happy weekend everybody. I'd post pics, but I'm at work. Also had a night shift tossed in on Thursday, so that was fun.. but I digest. I'll be back with pictures after werk:smoking:

So, I'm not really at a conclusion on the cleansing issue. I gave a plain watering and planning one more, maybe. Then another day and into the dark room for a cycle or two. Sound good?
