Hey guys

I'm not a total noob when it comes to growing. I have done a few photos grows and in all my years I did 1 Auto which was a Northern Lights from Nirvana.

I was blessed with this auto seed yesterday and I am looking forward to growing her out. I prepped a 15 L pot and she will be lit by a 250W setup.

Is it better to start off with MH or should I just jump in with the HPS ???

I will be going Organic on this run and I was thinking of using a scrog screen. I dropped the seed in water and I'm just waiting for it to sink. Then it's into the pot. I am planting directly into the final pot cause I read that theyou don't like being transplanted.

Will let you know someone soon as she pops nd then the pics will start flowing

Ahoya all

No pics yet but seeing that this is a diary of my grow I will use it to keep track of times.

The seed sank after a few hours in the water which tells me that the embryo is still healthy and strong ??? ( just guessing here ).

Here is some basic info on my grow

Strain : White Berry - Paradise Seeds

Soil mix :
Organic Compost ; Perlite ; Worm Castings with worms ; aged soil with amendments in

Pot Size :
15 liter

Feeding :
I don't have a specific brand. I use guano for all my grows

Flowering period :
According to the breeder she will be ready in 65 days from germination.

Lights :
250 w Metal Halide for veg
250 w Sun-T HPS for flower

The ventilation is very very ghetto. I have a 2 x 120mm and 1 x 80mm fan taking "care" of that. I have a diy air cooled hood and my lights will be on during the night. Luckily we are in winter now so the nights are quite cold and that keeps the temps between 24 and 28 degrees.

Currently the pot is in the cab alongside a Blue Widow and Malawian Gold cutting. I have her on the further side of the cab away from the strongest light to not dry the soil out.

So that's it for now. Will update with a pic of her waving and smiling at us.

Good luck on the grow. I always start in the final pot, easier and less risk of fucking something up. Watering a seedling in a large pot is the tricky part. Getting them to spread their roots is the key. I start watering in a circle
Around the plant. As the plant gets older I make circle bigger. At about ten days old I start to feed. get the roots to hit bottom and start reaching out and you will have a successful grow. I never used hps or MH lights. T5's to blurple led next step going autocobs.

Thanks for the advice Mizzo. The watering tip wI'll be taken to heart. Watering seedlings in big pots is a bitch but when its pulled off then happiness is just around the corner.

Waiting impatiently for the seed to pop. :wall:

Hey guys

Just a small update. It seems as if the nature gods heard my call and blessed me with a germinated White Berry.

I can see her just breaking ground and I guess she will be up and out by tomorrow. I switched my lights to a 18/6 cycle. Should I switch to a Metal Halide for the beginning and then HPS for yhe rest or can I go with a HPS from the start ???
