Nutrients Which nutrient lines are the most pH stable?

Ok so you are talking about a PH change in a stagnant bottle of mixed nutrients? or do you aerate it? Mixed nutrient should be aerated or stirred with a pump constantly.

I believe it could be a reaction with the Cal-mag you are using just sitting idle it will bond to other elements causing what you are seeing. It also locks-out the nutrients it is bonding to.

Oh, gotcha. I mix a gallon of nutrient water, then use it across 2 -3 days watering once a day. I noticed the swings in that gallon. I never really check the ph of my runoff, but the EC is around 200 - 350 lower than incoming water (which is what I've heard is ideal).
If you mix and buffer to 5.8 a slow pH rise is actually a good thing so long as the range stay's between 5.8 to say 6.2. That swing will make your Nutrients more widely available to the plant.

I bought some silica and GH's micro and bloom. I mixed 'em using Lucas' formula of 6 mL micro and 9 mL of bloom, and it came out to ~1300 EC (which is about right for mid to late bloom). It's about 300 less than what I was getting with my Mega Crop mix, but I figure I can just keep upping the bloom for more P/K until I find where my plant's max EC is for this line. We'll also see how much it drifts - it took more pH up to get it up to 5.8, so I think it's going to be more resistant to drift. Either way, I'm tired of dealing with little white balls.

Yes, it's a pH swing in a gallon of prepared nutrient-water. I don't aerate it, but I'm not sure I need to go that far.

It drifts up to 6.4, so I hit it with some pH down to get it to 5.9 - 6.2. I'm worried that having pH up and down is going to be bad for the plant long term.
