Hi @Dudeski ,im glad that you are taking safety seriously and thinking ahead..the alcohol fumes can be dangerous/explosive and every precaution should be taken to vent the fumes..but as long as a good plan is in place before you start you will be fine..i have a screened porch but sometimes i get a bug do a kamikaze dive into the pan,you can get a grease screen from the supermarket that may fit over the pyrex...DO not allow others around that may not be as safety conscious as you..DO not smoke around the evaping pan..Do not do this in an enclosed space..MAKE SURE there are no ignition sources around like a pilot light from a water heater or stove..Since you have followed this thread for a while you know that i use an electric hot plate from walmart 20$,but you have also seen that i have used nothing more than a fan ,you dont have to use even a fan because it will evap in the air..if you try a no heat purge outside you can slip the pyrex into a doubled up painters screen to keep most debris out but that will depend on how windy it is..hold on ill shoot a pic...Im always game for another extract run! When i can work out the free time my first is gonna happen. Just working out how we will evap it.
When doing it outside, how to you keep debris from getting in it?
