My own shit, thanks to places like this!
I know seeds are soaked in the dark.

I know once you plant the seed with a decent tap root that the lights come on.

What I don't know is about what day do you introduce the new seedling to its normal light cycle?

The picture below is from today of a 6-day-old seedling.

Sample for Day 6 Pray.jpg

I plant my seeds directly to medium after a short soak (3-5hrs) and then I run them on 24/0 for the first 9-11 days then I switch to 18/6 till harvest

Thank you.

The reason I asked this question was because when I opened the tent this afternoon I saw that it was attempting the "Praying" position.

I understand that "praying" is often referred to as a good thing. However, I hadn't ever noticed a tiny little seeding doing this. I burned a seedling recently.

Because of that, I wanted to make sure this little lady wasn't trying to tell me something with her limited growth.

I don't mind to see the praying but I normally start on the low end for light and they stretch on me a little... these ones are day 7 above ground they stretched the first dayish so I turned light up to 20 dli 24/0 using photone app and they are happy for now but will start increasing the week very soon and then turning to 18/6

Also FWIW I keep my light on the far side away from plants too and run dimmer to keep plants happy… I believe distance plays a big part in light burn with leds
