I only use 2 oz's of water daily the 1st 5 days and put in in a circle around where the seed is planted.
Although vague, an excellent starting point for most of us going into coco.
I picked up 4 bricks of Canna Coco this afternoon.
My intention is to transplant my 7 seedlings presently started in double solos ( Sunshine4 in the solos).
So,I'm going from soil to coco in the transplant once the seedlings have the roots ready to move.
My question now is, ..
Canna claim their coco is preconditioned etc...etc..
What does experience and reality say from the more experieced users?
How much calmag and nutes go into the prebuffer while soaking the bricks?
Cheers fellas, this is a great thread!

For germination, you have to keep the temps above 80F. Not optional if you want consistent results, and this can be a challenge if you germinate in full pots.
Good luck with the grow.
Not a good idea. You would be better off starting them in a smaller cup that can be kept at temp for sure, and then transplanting. Temperature is likely the biggest deal of the bunch with germination. The babies do not like cold, and cold for them starts at ~80F. If you follow the instructions put on here by @slowandeasy, you will be golden. See https://www.autoflower.org/threads/germination-issues-please-read.74468/page-2#post-2228728 for good info. Don't let anyone tell you that autoflowers won't transplant, that is bs. Not one of the ones I have done have hiccuped in the slightest, and I am a noob at this. Get them started strong, leave them long enough on their initial cups to develop a good root wad, and they will be just fine. Just follow Slow's process rigorously and you will be far better off than trying to germinate under cool temps in your final pots.if room temps are lower than that, would using warm water help to compensate or not a good idea ?
Sounds like you got'er dialed. Temperature may not be everything, but it is bloody close. Too bad about the lost seeds. I consider myself really lucky to have avoided that outcome while learning this stuff. Mostly accident, but I'll take it, and now I know better. Next grow will be with Slow's process. Thanks for sharing the experience of an OLD FART,..
I've actually lost seeds after the soak in a shot glass, because the soil (Promix) wasn't hot enough.
Germination basicaly stopped and I lost the seeds (7 x $5)...Shyzer
So having learnt this the hard way.
I now have my seeds in the shot glass on a heated mat (set to 27c...roughly 84f).
Then transfer to double solo cups ,....and placed into a dome ( all still on the heated mat).
I use LEDs while under the dome, and adjust my height to adjust for heat (25-29c).
Plants love this approach and don't stretch.
