What's up?

The amount of time you are willing to spend on your garden can have an important impact on your choice of growing style.

This chart doesn't match my experience at all - hydro has been easier and taken less of my time than soil. 5gal bubble bucket, top feed every few days/week when the solution runs low, use the simple chart for ratios based on timeline of plant. Versus hand water soil based on mystic feelings and fight bugs.

Maybe it's because I'm a trained bartender and not a trained gardener? Maybe its a right brain left brain or whatever thing? Outdoors I can see the argument of soil being simpler, but in a grow tent DWC is like ez bake oven in my limited experience. Soil been a headache and makes a mess. It takes time to clean up messes and fix headaches.

Organic soil Water only grows can be watered with drip on a timer and it takes no time. Pre-charged soils need to be fed periodically watering can still be done automatically. Coco is a form of hydro and PH must be monitored daily as well as nutrients mixed and changed as the grow progresses. This can all be automated with enough money. DWC really should have PH monitored daily and even though it does not take a lot of time you need to do it or risk problems. Full on hydro is a daily chore and yes it can be automated with enough money.
