IMPO don't use Fox Farm Soils.

Do you want to grow organic or salts?

Why do you recommend not using FF? What can I do to remediate the issues it causes if I already have a substantial amount of FF?

It has quality control issues. It is ok when it is made right and growers UNDERSTAND how, when and how much to fertilize it. Way too many new growers end up in the infirmary with over feeding - out of balance problems that cannot be solved because you cannot fix it by flushing. Trying to flush a product meant to be organic with Dolomite Lime just makes matters worse. Seasoned growers can and do grow good plants until they hit a bad batch.

Many new growers do not understand the idea of feeding balanced nutrients and do not use nutrient lines properly. They mix and match because they like the marketing hype of a name like Bud Explosion or Big Bloom which has nothing to do with what elements are in the product.

The amount of time you are willing to spend on your garden can have an important impact on your choice of growing style.

once upon a time, I stole from wisdom of my "gods" seymour-buds and hazy and some other afn dudes. I was doing soil, then hempy and dwc. Then i became unable to carry on, now all "experience" is just about some remains of that old time in my fully blasted brain...but actually I'm a "herb" idiot, trying to get self-stuffed again. Thats why I restrain from advice to others, just doing my own mistakes (again).
I keep being curious to everything new to me and try to learn, as I'm going, hopefully being well prepared.
So if you see me doing or saying something idiotic, step in and slap me.

For the moment the corriculum is:
- dig into a clean regimen of my nutes again, because they were good and I have still so much left of them.
- try the pyramids, aiming not to make my wife a weed-widow and have sparetime
- kiss principle as far as i can
- try to not be foolish (the hardes part of all)
- then do some gender transformation with cs to be able to self-service with seeds
...whatever comes my way and is interesting

Be sure to shake your old nutrients, if any of them rattle with crystals/rocks on the bottom dispose of them.

checked that, thanks. the first run was/is OK with at least one plant. The nutes are not the prob i guess, it's ME wanting too much (you see, beginner again) and not remembering ratios etc in the stages correctly.
