I've found several grow logs of people using them, but none I've looked through actually mention whether the air-pots are worth the investment, or actually do any better then regular pots.

I'm getting ready for my first auto flowering run, and I'd love some feedback as to if anyone using them thinks they are worth it and actually sees a difference in plant health/yield.

Thanks!

Thanks for the link! About page 12 is where I found the good stuff.

For anyone who may come across this thread in a future search, or anyone else who doesn't want to have to piece all this info together themselves:

It seems that air-pots are well worth the investment. It seems they can be found cheapest on eBay. Apparently aside from healthier roots and healthy vigorous growth, according to some these actually make autos flower a little faster. On top of that, the size of the air-pot will also effect flowering/harvest time; a 1 Gal air-pot may finish a week or so earlier then a 3 Gal version.

I think I'm probably going to go with the 3L / ~1 Gal air-pots myself, but I'll start my seeds in 16oz dixie cups and try FullDuplex's tiered transplanting technique to see if I can really maximize my first run.

at day 11 roots were circled around bottom of cup 10/15 times aleast and started showing female atday16. Got the pots at the link
given above by WV.

They're on my next order, I've been wanting to give them a whirl. Heard nothing but good things about them. Thanks WVTurtle, that's pretty darn cheap!

from what i've read, you start auto in the same pot they'll finish in. meaning, no transplanting or starting in party cups.

Thats what Im doing now in my log. Starting them straight in my air pots with BX. After they get taller I put hydroton or clay balls on top so soil doesnt dry off so fast from overhead fan circulation. Check it out
