Lighting What's the best lighting cycle for autos - 24/0, 20/4 or 18/6

Some growers will gradually increase hours of darkness over a period of 2-3 weeks to more closely mimic the outdoor cycle.

If one hates electric logging meters it's probably better think of no cycles at all...

Super MOG requires 24/7 for first 4-5 weeks. After that, take your pick. 3.5 hours of sleep at night..

I like 18-6. I still want to try more grows with 19 and 20, but need to first see how strains that I know do under my new autopot system, dual gavitas on light movers.

I know, for example Mazar easily pulled 3oz each with two under a 600w bulb 18-6.

Oh, here are some results of experiments I have done over the years.

All strains that I have tried under 12/12 did not get very big or yield much. Most of their buds were not very dense.

One time, I had plants under 18-6 for a good 50 days, they were already flowering nicely. I needed to flower the regulars in the same room, so I switched to 12-12. Half the autos started to revege do to the light change from 12-12 to 18-6. That seemed so backwards to me.

I have seen a few of Dutch Passion's grow videos. They use 20-4 for their grows.

Excellent, that's good enough for me. So i'd now have to expect 12-5½-1-5½ will probably affect plants in a similar proportion, after all...

i had mine 20/4 (first week at 22/2) and got 2+oz per plant, first time grower bunch of mistakes..Grew pyramid and strain hunters seeds..

ruderalis strain grows under 22 to 24 hours of light. Check out the blog dutch passion did on my auto extreme and think different growing under 24 hours on there home page in Joe's blog section. I also seem to finish a week or so earlier and get huge ass plants
