New Grower What temps are too cold for growing (Celsius Only!

Yeah, ya know come to think of it, the same thing happened to me in extreme heat too, I'm talking 115 F (48 C?) in the middle of summer. They didn't die, or suffer much actually, but the whole system slowed down to almost a halt. Not much bud, and verrrry slow. Like, waste of time and electricity slow lol. Anyways, yeah I was looking at little electric space heaters today. Just a cheap tiny one, like $30, on low, on a timer for just a few hours at lights out, should take care of the tent this winter.

My tent has been around 64-70 F degrees day 44 think i should add a heat bulb iv added 4 cfls with minimal help. Running 4x 300w topleds panels and 1 x 150w reflector 4 x 26w cfls

5x5x7 ft tent

Think its to cold i can exhaust air in room to help heat.

Put your exhaust fan on a variable speed controller so you can slow the fan speed down. The heat from your LEDs and CFLs should be enough to raise it to a more desirable level.

I started my last 4 plants in a loft, 2 at a time, under a little 180W LED, no extract no proper ventilation to speak of, and coooold up there and I must say.. its the worst thing I ever did.. theyve been so slow its unreal.. at 5 weeks old they looked like 2 week old plants.. soon as I put them in the tent under a slightly bigger LED (300W) and recently the 180w LED as well, with a bit of air blowing round them and extract on and boom.. off they went.. needless to say I've given up on the loft.. did it in the hope of starting a cycle of 2 plants every 4/5 weeks but alas.. tiz not to be.. nothing ventured nothing gained and all that but at a rough guess I reckon the cold start has set me back weeks as well as ruining my plans to scrog this grow which im totally gutted about as I need to scrog to make the most of my little tent and Vipar LEDs yield wise.. just want them all done and down now so I can start the 2 Fast & Vast I have here in the tent in better conditions and scrog them.. want to scrap whats there now actually am so gutted about it but I wont give up on them.. I'll just learn another valuable lesson on 'conditions'

Heat mat, (seedling mats) under the pots or bags. Keep the root zone temps up and they'll handle the cold much better.

Hey m8.. wow lol.. thats an old post.. back when I started out by the looks of it.. I grew in my loft for years.. only recently came out of it.. temps were a constant battle.. roasting in summer.. baltic in winter.. the only way I could grow in the loft in winter was to switch my leds out for my HPS lamp to keep the heat up.. or stick the hps in with the led.. in my experience once u get down to 18c or below growth really slows up. Where are you growing atm m8. You're in a tent yea?? Is it in a room in the house??

And also.. what @Arthur said.. if u can stick a heat mat under your pots to keep the root zone warm it'll help. I resorted to that for my smaller plants in the cold temps.
