My plant went to 13 degrees last night as I was away usually when I'm there I can keep it between 16-18 but what negative effects will 13 do ? Would it slowly kill it or just dramatically reduce ending yield

this is talking flowering plant not vegging although I would like to hear about veg temps aswell

During the Winter Months my room whrere the Tent is has no Heating so it often got dwon to 7-8 degrees at Night. Didnt reconize any negative Effects the only thing lot of my Strains tend to go Pruple or Purple Blue. I would advice to run Lights at Night during the Winter at Photos. At Autos i would pick the warmes Time of the Day for the 4 Hours Lights out. If u not run them on 24/0

Just as medic said the only real effects of going that low are that any traits of purple or coloring will come out if you lower the temps during flowering. Now I wouldn't let them get too much colder than that or you might risk freezing. As Medic said if you are worried about temps def run the lights out period during the hottest part of the day and run the lights at night. I am here in Colorado and I have the same problem with temps getting too low, that is why I run my lights 24/0 I am thinking about switching to 20/4 and doing as mentioned above and turn my lights off from 1PM until 5PM. Sending great grow Karma your way

One or two nights at those temps won't make a difference but if they continually stay in the 50s growth will eventually slow to a stop. The plant won't necessarily die, they will just stop growing. At those low temps the uptake of phosphorus is inhibited, which will result in red stems and the purple color that Medic experienced. That lack of P can result in reduced yields.

I have grown Photos in winter in the garage in temps down to 5c during several weeks.
The plants showed no problems at all.

That is exactly what happens in the great outdoors. When I picked my Think Different in the heat of August everyone who sampled it thought it was indoor so the lesson I learned was to keep the nighttime temp in the mid to low 20's cold is your enemy it does them no good. We were under the impression that one good frost would tighten up our outdoor and make it better but no growing autos outdoors and harvesting early proved that to be wrong IMO

Would also think there is a Big diffence between the Strains. Over here it was mostly Kush Lokalyties Like Hindu Kush n co i bet a African or Subtropical Sativa would defo have problems in such Temps. But Strains which are coming from a Area where Night Temps drop almost to Zero i wont see any Harm there.

Yep especially with all of the ruderalis genes that are bred into autos I would think that because some of them grow as far north as Siberia that they are more resistant to cold temps. Thats just my thoughts though

Well talking bout Ruderalis .....everyone who ever discovered a Kazahstan Summer will now why they can take that Temps

This is interesting but look at the size a DP auto can get. The reason rudies are so short and poolcue size stalks is because of the cold climate You see very little to none in a TD or a Auto extreme. I seen alot of influence in sweet seed sweet skunk though very stout but not much of a producer but it probably would be very little loss in size due to some cold
