1 part peat
1 part perlite

That's simple and stretches your $$$
the potting soil already has peat and perlite, but more is better for pot. Avoid pre fertilized soil. Buy the cheapest unfertilized peat and perlite you can find.

Do u water everyday ? I know with coco you're supposed too but what about that mix ? And what percentage coco ?

The plants that are 30days or older need water every day. I went roughly 30 coco, 20 perlite 50 pro mix

Roots organics with perlite and lime, but I kind of want to try the promix hp, I just wish I could get it in a small trial bag to see if I like it because it's fairly expensive for that huge bale

If at 80 degrees 50 rh I water daily and near the end depending on the strain twice daily you will dial her in just feel for lightness bro

I think I'm gonna go with pro mix it messed me up I read on a forum that it holds water forever and the plants are easily overwater I think the guy who made the post must've not had holes drilled on his pots or something idk that's why I decided to ask ppl but I think pro mix seems to be the way to go

ProMix-Bx dries out pretty quickly especially in smart pots, Cheers man

I use to use the regular happy frog soil, the ocean forest was too hot and burned every thing I tried with it photo and auto. I even tried mixing it but it still burned plants on me. I now use the regular roots organic and love the stuff. I have had 1 bad bag of roots but it was years ago. I like the roots way better than the happy frog stuff.

I like to mix my soil instead of feeding as it is simpler for me. I mix a veg mix and a bloom mix. I have tried to eliminate feeding from my grows so I don't have chances to make mistakes. Last plant pulled 4.5 ounces doing this. You have to know your strain for this to work though. I have had good and bad plants in the same soil mix.
