New Grower What should i do?

Trimming your roots in soil?
Care to explain...

I have a friend that pulls his out door from a hundred gallon pot (it takes 3 people to do it) he then chops the first quarter up to half of the roots. He said most growers thinks he is nuts, according to him the plants shoot new roots, tap roots if I remember correctly. Another reason is that those plants go from 100 gall to 400 gallon smart pots. They are literally growing trees ,it works for him that is for sure.

I actually had no problems from what i saw. One plant starting showing signs of flower. And im pretty sure my second plant did as well. But i think next time im going to just start in the 5 gal

I had never heard of it until about a month ago so it seemed really different. Awesome that it worked out for you and they are on their way now. I start mine directly in a 5 gal pot and have had great results. I think next time I will try the paper towel method just to try something different. It reduces the risk of having to even take a chance of having to cut anything even though it worked this time it could be really bad the next time.

Is ot also bad to take off the fan leaves and ect. ?

I would try to tuck as much as possible and if that doesn't work and you have a fan leaf or two and it's covering several bud sites then yeah. You want to just take the leafs you have to. Hopefully someone will give you more info on it. Most likely if you do a forum search you will find something on the subject.

The papper Towle germination method was a 100% success rate for me

I think I will give that a shot,I see a lot of people using that method.
What you want to do is get a good clean non- chemical bounty. Really wet it full. Squeeze out the extra. (It should be a little over moist but not soaking wet). But the seeds in hold it two or tree times, and just keep it in a cabinet. In 2-3 days youll be ready to plant them.
