New Grower What should i do?

You can also take a thick piece of wire long at one end to stick in medium, the other end with a halo that you bend for the stem. While it's growing you can un-bend little by little until you feel confident that the plant again is well enough to remove wire.

Hi I dropped a fan on my two week old plant and she snapped in half I was told to discard her as she was an auto and would not recover.. But I decided to cut a straw and place around stem to support anyway this his her now..

I saved both parts and now, about a month later, both parts have survived. I lost some buds, this happened on the first week of flowering and there were about 4 bud sites starting. The main bud has survived. :)

@witchyhour I am thinking of taking her out of my tent as she does not seem to be forming quickly and has no crystal on her at all and feel if she was not taking up space I could get more light to my other three girls and pull branches down a tad to allow more light to lower buds.. What are your thoughts?

Where the stem snapped healed and just turned really fat.. I wish I still had the pic of her in her straw cast.

I have seen pictures of non-autos where they lightly snap the branches and that's what happens. My plant above is also an auto and I know it's not all it could have been, but it's still going strong!

Light training by pulling the branches down a bit is good, the more light the lower buds get, the higher your yield.

That said... most branches are probably broken doing that and dropping stuff on plants than anything else. So, be suuuper caaaareful!

Adding side lights is always my choice, your plants will grow comfortably to the sides if there are lights there.

@witchyhour yea I won't put too much pressure on them, just feel they will do better, I feel bad for other one as she is a trooper but she won't finish in time and my tent will be where I will hang my buds.. I can't as yet afford more lights but will add in time.

Put the buds in paper bags. Keep everything in the tent. Things will take the time they take, you need to make it work, it won't adjust to your schedule. It's pretty much the opposite, you adjust to the plant's needs and timing. :)

@Itisi Do you agree, oh, master of buds?

Stunted plants aren't necessarily stunted.

When you damage a plant it will stop what it's doing to concentrate on healing, it will be YOUNGER than its sisters in comparison. The healing process is like suspended animation. She may be the best smoke you ever had.

If you paper bag dry ,rather than hang, you can dry it anywhere. Leaving your tent in operation.

Even if you run the same strain, same start time, same treatment, you'll still have plants finishing at different times.

Once they are in flower the branches are more inclined to snap than bend, so any opening up of branches needs to be done gingerly.

When a branch snaps, the healing process thickens the area, making it stronger. The snapping of branches deliberately is called super cropping. It gives a more uniform canopy and I believe it adds budding sites.

Witches broken plant tip will only heal as a plant tip though, it won't produce a main tap root which will inhibit it.

This is why people don't grow autos from cuttings.
