What is your seed germination rate?

Me…myself…..I scuff with a Rolled up piece of sandpaper….Abrasive side inside the tube….And I shake them about 10 times to Scuff the outside so water can permeate……They usually pop after 24 hours or before that then they go into blue shop rags…..DO NOT USE WHITE PAPER TOWELS—They might be bleached and you will instantly kill your seeds…….I then let them go overnight or two hanging vertically at the top of my warm tent…..Let gravity do the work and you’ll get straight roots every time…..WOOF!!

Damp paper towel, on a plate, plastic film, 36-48 hours on top of the grow tent, gets 100% for me.
Direct to soil I've lost a few, so I like to keep that guaranteed damp environment

And one thing about this method, I also do it for pepper seeds, which are notoriously averse to germination. It takes 5+ days with pepper seeds, but again I get 100% with them too

Usually all my seeds pop. Plant right in the soil myself. Don't run into issues there often. Stored right they last a long time. I found a pineapple express, blueberry crumble, pre 98 Bubba, and Ice Cream Cake seed in some dispensary weed I just planted. So far the pineapple express has popped but the other 3 we're not black with stripes so they may not pop. They were white but hard so I tried to plant them on hopes they do pop. But when I buy seeds and store in fridge in a air tight and dark environment. I never have a problem unless seeds are not fully developed. Or really old seeds can be finicky. I've had some seeds take a lot longer than others to sprout so I don't give up if they don't sprout right away

I use solo cup in a humidity dome with temp set to 78. I use coarse vermiculite/peat on the bottom 3/4 of 2/3 filled cup and fine vermiculite/peat on the top inch for the seed to have an easy start. Water with 150 ml 700 ppm 2-1-2 nutes, sitting in dish to soak up runoff. set seed in 3/8” deep hole brush moist medium over top.

always 50/50 peat vermiculite

I have not had a cannabis seed not germinate doing this. Usually above surface in 3 days or 4

Ran outta space in the dome but sitting on metal right next to heat pad to hopefully keep soil temp up as much as possible.

done a lot using paper towel. Just seems like extra waste and a extra step. all about temps imo, since keeping them moist should be easy.

peppers in front there, use same method and works better for me than when I did them with paper towels.

get a dome and mat with temp regulator and plant seeds where in your medium imo, 3-4 days to break surface constantly is not something I had with any other method but I did not have temp control with them

save a few seeds with dome and mat it already paid for itself in a lot of cases since seeds can be so expensive

here is one I didn’t even water in, it is just sitting on the wick that will auto feed the pot

Indoors I am 11/11, 8 fastbuds, 2 barneys farm, and one Gnome automatics Anvil. All planted directly into living soil and watered with distilled water flavored with alfalfa, kelp, and Ful-power. I keep the tent at 80 degrees and mist the top and sides of grow bags for additional humidity. Twice I have had helmet heads that I misted and covered to increase humidity to soften it up.

Outdoors I have had issues, not seed related, but my idiocy and bad luck. Had racoons dig up my seeds multiple times, one time the coon got sick eating craft blend and puked a seed up into the next pot and I had two seeds germ in the same pot. I may try outdoors again in the spring, but I need more experience before battling the grasshoppers and racoons again. My outdoor run was a gigantic waste of money!!

Both times I tried paper towel I had bad luck...last time was 2/3 weeks ago with the Midwest Widow testers.....Don't know if it's non disclosed chemicals in the manufacturing process or what...Going back to 24/48 hours in a cup.
Could be some thing to do with the paper towel brand,
was reading more expensive with fancy prints don't work well anything is possible.
So far I been good/lucky with cheap white paper towel 2 layers on the bottom 2 on top
in a tupper ware sitting next to a fios tv box not on top in a wall unit with open front and back !

The bleaching to make white and the dyes to make prints are instant killers
