Alright guys, have taken an interest in doing a DWCR build. any pro dwcr's with any advice would be awesome.

This build should be possible for under £120, as most people are selling a 4 pot system for £150+.

The most expensive part so far has been the buckets,i didnt want to just go with your standard cheap bucket, these are heavy duty plastic. Very impressed with them so far.

Todo :
Find feeding plan / routine
Assemble buckets
Pick 3 seeds possible vote you guys pick will have list up later.

Neuts : Dutch pro, terpinator
Pot Total : 3 plants 1 reserv
Pot Size : 24ltr Rectangle
Net Cup : 200mm x 3 Heavy Duty
Hose : 1" 25mm Ice Pvc Hose

Parts :
Pond water pump x 1 : £8.45
IWS PRO Nut 25mm x 4 : £2.40
IWS PRO BSP Tee 25mm x 4 : £11.80
IWS PRO Washer 25mm x 8 : £1.60
Iceline 25mm 1mtr x 2 : £5.90
Barbed Valve 25mm x 1 : £4.95
Barbed Tee-Piece 25mm x 1 : £0.95

I run stand alone DWC buckets
Bought generic 8 gallon square buckets that fit the current culture lids for $15 each US
Bought the white current culture lids for for the 8” net pit and the access door. Local shop sells them for $17 each.
Net pot $8
Air pump $20
Stones $10
So about $80 bucks per stand alone bucket and then I get a furniture dolly for $10 to make the whole setup move easily when full of water

The current culture lids were expensive but are white for reflection and the door allows easy filing and checking on roots.

I originally had one large air pump to run six buckets together by quickly realizing see the tangle of airlines and inability to easil move line meant individual pumps were much better. Also I get better noise control with 6 5w pumps as opposes to one big pump.

I originally was going to do RDWC but it you are running autos it’s not going to work really well. RDWC really best for clones but the that’s just MHO. You really need individual adjustability with auto or any type of perpetual grow.

Hey bud, thanks for checking out the thread.

Well it certainly crossed my mind plants having different growth times but not at build stage yet so can still do single.

must be plenty of people using dwc tho.
Will just plant a few more seeds and just see which plants are going at same level.
And i assume that if one plant is lacking the rest should be the same? Doing 3 x thc bomb autos.

Will be wrapping my lids soon as the pots holes are cut.

Still new to all this so all help is welcome.

So all parts have now arrived, will hopefully start assembly tomorrow need to get a nice 1" holesaw.

Hey Tom really appreciate it buddy, i have my doubts about dwc-r what if one plant or two dont run aswell as the third. cant exactly change the neuts and effect the good plant. you know anyone you could tag to take a look and give some advice?

I'm not sure I think @Mañ'O'Green or @EvilScotsman may run that setup I grow with autopots shared res with different strains I just go light on the feed as a over fed plant is a bitch to fix underfed is much easier to manage just slow and steady

in my eyes, slow and steady wins the race whenever i advise any new grower that is my first ever rule i tell them as people think to give them tons of feed it makes sense bigger plants and they go mad and burn the shit out of them less is better than more i know from experience :bong:also why dont you if you fancy it for a laugh and make friends join one of the grow battles on here the first leg starts on feb 1st and the next in may i just thought id mention it
