Jean-O's Show Grows 2024 Welcome to the Thunderdome Jean-O's Genetics Battle Royal

Looking very happy! Im going to have to look into the earth boxes they really seem like they are right up my alley with my grow style.
They definitely make life easy! A little bit spendy up front but they're very durable and easy to clean. I've only used the Juniors so far (hold about 3-4 gallons of soil), but im about to try my first plant in the EB regular. The Juniors are about the perfect size for most autos I think, and they're easy to move around. But I'm excited to see if i can grow a monster (8oz+) in a reg. Let me know if/when you decide to try then out!
Happy Saturday :smokeout: :pighug:

Week One
The girls are all a week old today and are on pace for what I like to see! I'll probably give them a Kelp foliar when I get home this evening just for fun lol.

Keep in mind I'm growing in 10gal pots so they look huge in comparison to the plants lol.

As it stands, the Straw Dog is my early favorite but we will see how things progress over the next week!

You really should! It is pretty easy of a grow method.
The first thing is pair bigger girls to Regulars and smaller ones to Jrs. You know your girls, so that' easy for you.
The next thing is when to add water to the rez. Too soon, it will be stunted. Just water as a regular pot until the root system is well established. Usually, in Jrs, that's 12-14 days. I add 1/2 gal to Jrs for a few watering cycles, then full gallon. Regulars planted on the end, 16-18 days and planted in the center, it's around 21 days. It's just the time for the roots to get well established in the wicking areas. In Jrs, there are two wicking areas in the center. Normal top watering gets that established fairly quickly. In Regulars, that takes a little longer with the wicking areas being on the ends. On the girls I want to 'lay over' as a form of training, I plant on the end, water it normally and a little more trailing to and above the wicking area closest to the plant. I do the same to both wicking areas if planting in the center.
Correctly paired girls to EBs, there's only two top dressings needed. The first nute bank top dressing is done at the time of filling the EB with media. The second it done on the first week of flower and with nod for more flower nutes.
EWC and quality compost comprise a large portion of the nute bank. Dry flower amendments from BAS and Roots Organic. Bokashi and RM1 from Terraganix.

Check out my thread in the sig for setup details.

Voodoo is finally bounding back to health. The issue is voodoo requires a lighter feed and I've been feeding her three times a day in coco with half nute, then she started to develop toxicity and stunted. Found out because of the sudden hot weather, temp going up this she consumes more water = more nutrient intake. I drastically lowered feed, diluting it with water half and half and she's doing so much better.

I'm loving Jean-O's VooDoo S1. My 2nd one had a slow start, so didn't get topped. She put out a forked top on her own, and only needed spreading to keep a flat canopy. She wound up giving 18 oz of delicious, happy, sativa-dom, get-up-and-go high (3GL coco/perlite, MC 1-part, HLG100):

week 4
End of week 4. Straw Dog day 28. Started flowering on day 22. I top dressed with ewc, Blue Ribbon compost, Flower Finisher, Bio Fish, neem and insect frass. I added fish hydrolysate and Liquid Weight to my waterings this week.

Holy cow that thing is a monster. I didn't know Voodoo yields like that. Im actually about to harvest my 2nd Voodoo, excellent energetic weed for sure but both of mine only got about 4-6oz each. I must be doing something wrong then. How many days did yours go?

I think in coco they take longer and yield more. I chopped the colas off my VooDoo #2 on day 112 (301g.), and the lower branches a week later (231g.). I chopped her sister, my VooDoo #1, on day 101, and she yielded 8 oz. I think they put on a lot of weight toward the end. I could have chopped both a lot sooner, but I'm glad I gave #2 the extra time. Maybe #2 got more light too. Each was under a 100w LED, but #2 was between 2 other plants, so she got her own 100w plus some light from the 100w grow on each side of her. I've been meaning to upgrade to 150w per plant...
