Wedding Cake yellowing

Yup cal mag is something soil growers dont worry about too much unless they are reusing and ammending for another run from what I understand. Although I find it less stressful to just start with new soil each time but this can get expensive if you plan on expanding grows. I did have to add a tiny bit to my auto on this run though, but im not sure if its a deficiency or magnesium lockout from too much nitrogen as I have some pretty dark fan leaves. Autos are a new ball game for me so understanding how to feed is a learning process for me in that regard. They really dont need as much as photos and Im finding that out the hard way as I fed 2 full dose flower feedings about a month and a half ago and now late in flowering Im running into some minor problems.

I make my own DIY coco/soil mixes. Mostly coco. But, point being - I reuse my coco after a good flush (after harvests), many times. And even when I decide to retire it, I will usually put it outside and put a pepper plant in it, or something.

Autos are definitely more challenging (to me) to grow correctly than photos. Just a faster pace and learning to react, or anticipate on a different level I suppose. But over time you will learn where you can push them. I often push them past the recommended doses to encourage heavy veg and I will usually yield 12oz+ per plant. But, part of the reason I even started to grow autos was from all of the blabbing about how they suck. So, I took it upon myself to grow an indoor auto to yield more like a photo might. It's an interesting hobby.

It definitely is an interesting hobby. I threw an auto down with 3 photos this run and Im thoroughly impressed. Its the same size as my photos, actually bigger than 1 of them. Really nice buds developing on it but I didnt anticipate something cuz I have brown spots overrunning the top of my plant.

Its getting worse and worse and im starting to think its rust fungus and not cal mag deficiency cuz its showing up on 2 of my other plants, unless they are all magnesium deficient. Which I guess is possible fox farm tends to lean heavy on the nitrogen

I should clarify that I make my own DIY mix out of coco with a little soil in the mix.

I use FloraFlex which is fairly heavy on the N. I have seen spots on occasion, not rust fungus. But looks very similar. Both times mag issues.

Are you using Recharge by chance?

Rgardless, you can try a teaspoon per gallon of Epsom and water it in and see if the spots stop progressing. Any time I have seen it happen it stops it. Won't go away though. Just stops the spread.
