Good morning Budsmen. I don't really know that I have an issue today, but in the tradition of Rumsfeldian logic I also don't know that I don't. For those who can spare a moment, let me try to tell you what I'm up to here.
I've got a few beans that I immersed in a bit of water to induce germination, this evening will be 72 hrs. they went in the drink and I've seen no reaction from them. Anxiety is starting to tap me on the shoulder and say hey I want to talk to you. I have had some bag seed recently that failed to germinate with this method but I didn't think too much about it, they had all been around for a while. Those I kept in the dark, the beans currently swimming were purchased and have been under grow lights 16/8 along with a photo seedling that is a whole other story. This op has a limited budget, I bought 15 beans and 4 of them aren't reacting so I'm starting to scratch my head and wonder wtf and I think it would be premature to start bitching about the breeders the problem is more likely me.
Unless someone here throws a stop-stick in front of me as I barrel down Growers Road in a stern fog with one headlight, I'm thinking this afternoon I'll drop these shy little guys into modified cups (thanks AFN) in soil. As it happens, I have to shut down one of my 2 lights tonight and move it back to the well-house, cold temps tonight and the water must flow. I will move the photo seedling to another dark location for it's 8 hrs. of darkness, and replace the remaining light with a heat bulb, making sure it's not too close. They may need some heat, temps there have been running about 68F. Might dome them. And I could leave that set-up in place for a while, I can park the photo seedling elsewhere under light when it's wakey time.
I'm not frustrated yet exactly, I would just like to get going. I bought 10 auto beans and 5 photo, the swimmers are 2 auto and 2 photo. I'm trying to provision myself with bud just like a lot of ppl and I use so little that dismal yields should get me where I'm trying to go. If I have a surplus I'd likely give at least some away. If I can meet the goal of provisioning myself then beyond that I'd just like to be whatever help I can to others trying to do the same. If I should happen to get good enough at it, I'd like to create a photo strain and an auto strain of my own making. The photo I would call Wayne The F**kmore, and the auto would be called Wayne The F**kLess. And when ppl say "Well Cannagus they are good strains, they're not G.O.A.T. but they're decently potent and yield alright, they do well vs. mold and fungus and pests, but why in the world did you call them that ?" And I will say "that is because I have Wayne The F**kMore jars stuffed full of good bud, and for Wayne The F**kLess money, than when i was buying my s**t from somebody else."
