Hi Peeps! Time to separate these Blue Ladies from my auto grow journal. So, here goes:
I'm growing out 3 DP Blue Velvets, and 1 G13 Blue OG (replacing a DOA BV..). The BOG just popped yesterday, so pics of her are forthcoming..
The environment:
Seret Jardin 240 tent
1000w HPS (currently at 400w)
5 gal airpots
Aurora/Roots Organic Master Pack nute, when needed.
Myco, gnatrol, and happy Ganja teas

So, the pots are layered- bottom 2" is supersoil-one plant is Maine Coast prototype soil, and the others are Mass Whole Superoil. I'm teting/reviewing both soils.
On top of the SS layer, I am using Mass Whole potting soil, to surround the 1/2 gallon transplant soil, which is Sunshine Mix.
The BVs are on Day 19, I believe. BOG is day 2...
After transplant, they didn't show much stress until 3 days later when they look to have hit the supersoil layer with taproots, and the lowest/first leaves look a little tweaked by the steroid hit. They are quite lively, even so, and they appear to be happily establishing righteous roots with the help of a Myco tea :)

The BVs in their forever grow room, BOG will transplant in about a week.

Winkin'- Happy girl, that.
09-IMG_0232.jpg
Blinkin'- Doing fine.
10-IMG_0233.jpg
Nod- She is about 20% larger that Blinkin. Nod is in Maine Coast SS, and Blinkin is in Mass Whole SS.. The first notable review observation, possibly.

As always, Peeps, welcome to my journal, and I hope y'all will hang out for the show! Really couldn't do it without you, symbiotically... lol

I am seemingly developing coping skills for the massive harvest testing going on in Waxiville, so I'll do my best to update every few days.
Peace, and Bliss on all of ya...
:Hookah:

Thank you, Brother :) Yeah, make hay while the sun shines, eh? lolol I expect this photo journey will make me a true couch carrot.. I'm still recovering from last weekend's "ceiling tests" of the AWW and ECD!! Whew!! Right cannabis cup droner weekend, that! Great to have you along, Brother!

Saturday update time!
The Blue OG (no pic) is still in the seedling tent.. She's 3 inches tall and her first leaf sets are growing in.
The Blue Velvets have proven less nute tolerant to the supersoil. The very first leaf sets on two of them are nute burned, but I was keeping a close eye onthe new growth, and they are acclimating nicely now. I'm certain that they hit the supersoil layer on Tuesday, and the nute burn stabilized a couple days later. Being the nervous farmer that I am, much stress was shared.. lolol They are all doing much better, and new grown is accelerating.
The Ladies got a quart of water today, mixed in was 1 tsp blackstrap, and pH'd to 6.5.. I also surface dressed with Oregonism XL (Myco, etc) and Elemental (Cal mag) and mulched with hydroton.
OH! I am also sure that the Maine Coast supersoil was MUCH easier on Nod than the Mass Whole was on Winkin and Blinkin. So far, I have zero complaints with that protype soil. Whatever they did, it is really top shelf. No hate for the Mass Whole, but I just think the MW soil is either hotter, or the components haven't reached their Zen in the bag.
I'm learning a ton on this grow. Layering soils, airpots, and new genetics- Dull moments have no place in Waxiville... Nope! lol
Enough bloviating... Some Pics:

The Girls, just happy to be photosynthesizing :)

Here is a (wretched.. ugh) pic of the leaf burn. The next leaf set up got slightly yellowed at the edges, but not burned. And, they seem to be growing daily, so steady as we go.

I expect to fimm these ladies in the next few days. I just want to ensure the root biology is in good shape before the beheading. Also, form other BV grow pics I've been looking at, I will very likely LST as much as possible to get more light to the lower regions. On my first run of Purple kush, I got 8 oz from 2 plants- no LST.. The 2nd run of the same seeds I got 12 oz, and the only difference was LST. My name is Waximus, and I support the B&D of DP BV!! Nuff said!
So, Tokes to each of you, and may your week be the best you've ever experienced! :peace:

Hi, Peeps! A quick update on the Ladies...
I upped the MH wattage from 400 to 600 watts in the Jardin, on Sunday. The tent temp is maxing at 79 degrees, and RH is between 46-62%. The Girls are all doing great, and vertical/veg growth is now in overdrive! I will fimm them this weekend. Here are today's pics:

Winkin, Day 26.

Blinkin, Day 26.
3-IMG_0258.jpg
Nod, Day 26. She is in the Coast of Maine soil/airpot. She is at least 35-40 bulkier than her sisters.. I am loving that soil!
The gnats have abated, and they get one more Gnatrol bacteria drink today, so that is a relief :)
Hope y'all are having a prosperous week! Catch you here, this weekend :)

Ur ladies are looking super sexy bro! Nod is a heffer by the looks of her!
Thank you, JT :) Yeah, I just checked on them, post tea time, and she is a poster child for Indica leaf porn... lololol
some love, Brother:Sharing One:

Time to show the progress on these DP Blue Velvets :) They're on day 31 from pop, and all are doing well. They're really starting to bulk up in veg, and new leaf sets are happening fast. I will be FIMMing the Ladies in the next couple days. Its always bittersweet putting the knife to a perfectly happy plant.. lolol But..... heh heh heh
Here are today's pics:

Winkin.. She and Blinkin are revving up. I'll give them another week, and start looking at switching to 12/12.

Blinkin :)
6-IMG_0267.jpg
My favorite, Nod! She's the one with the Coast of Maine soil. Twice the plant of either of her sisters!
7-IMG_0268.jpg
A trio of Ganja Girls :)

It's straight water for them until they show a need. Both supersoils seem to be active, and they don't seem to need anything more than moisture at the moment. I will be surface dressing them with Roots Elemental this week, to give them a cal/mag feed going into preflower.
The large fan leaves on Nod are just beast!
Loving these genetics, so far, and excited to get them into flower!
Have a great week, Peeps! I'll update this weekend.

nice one wax, and good to see you resisting the temptation to over feed young plants. The sign of an experienced grower :)

Welcome, Tony! Thanks for dropping by :) Well... I'd puff up and thank you for that grower props, but when I post an update later today, the tri-noded girl has evidently hit the Mass Whole supersoil layer, and it did NOT like the jolt. Thalia is a bit crisp around the edges :( That super soil is TOO hot. Lesson learned, for the next run.... I'll post pics later today.
"The journey is the reward." lolol
