Finally! Its time to pop the AFN cherry and journal up! I have to say that I am SO excited to be doing a grow journal for y'all, and I have chosen some esteemed Dutch Passion genetics for the journey. I'll be doing two DP auto Durban Poison in my auto closet, and four DP Blue Velvet in my photo tent. This journal is for the ADP. Let me know if anyone is interested in the photo BV grow, and I'll put a separate journal in the photo section
We have the following provisions for our trip:
2.5 x 3.5 x 7 foot closet, 4" exhaust fan at the top, 6" fan for air movement, fresh air venting at bottom of closet.
5 gallon airpots; starting them in 1/2 gallon pots.
Aurora/Roots Organics Master nutes. I'll use the 5ml regimen, with minor tweaks (stump teas, blackstrap well drinks, etc)
They'll be grown under a pair of LED panels; Taotronics 270 watt (180 real) full spectrum, and a Mars 300 watt (210 real) full spectrum.
I'm going to set up the airpots as follows:
Bottom 25%- Mass Whole Super Soil
Remainder of pot will be primarily Mass Whole Potting Soil-comparable to OF, but they promise pH will be in range... The only other soil is some sunshine#4 that is in the 1/2 gal starter pots.
Oh! Pics!
This is the Super Soil bag. Its made in Presque Isle, Maine.
Here are the seedlings, in the mother keeper tent. The left two are the Durbans, and the other four are the Blue Velvets. One of the BV was shy..It took 4 days to germinate her...
Auto Durban Poison seedling- 4 days since germinated.
Blue Velvet seedling-Posted for comparison..
The plan is to let them veg in the mother keeper, under CFL, until the last auto in my closet is done (2 weeks, max) and then they go into the closet in the air pots. I will decide on transplant time based on their progress.
This is a first grow out of Dutch Passion genetics, and I am right randy to have a go with them!
I hope you'll come along for the ride. I can use all the good vibes, Karma, and Universal good will that you can spare. And, when (not if) the time comes that I need some help, Please know how much it means to have y'all righteous friends to lend your knowledge and skills!
Namaste
